Roy Hodgson is a dinosaur. England need a newer, younger, more forward thinking manager. They tried to do something different this world cup but questionable team selection has cost them.

Cahill = Donkey
Gerrard = too old too useless
Jagielka = dont even start, kant !
Baines was cr@p

Ashley Cole must be pi$$ing himself ., rightly.

w@nkers the lot. !

Cahill was the only player who put in a decent performance.

I'm not so sure, I just think we have a very weak bunch of footballers at the moment.
Baines and Barclay dominate every weekend in the Winter, pull an England shirt on and they look like they've never played the game.
Outclassed, but at least expectations this time were realistic and very few of us ever got excited about our chances.....

Those last few minutes it kind of summed it up. Uruguay had Suarez and Cavani on the field, we had Rickie Lambert ...

It was the same when Lallana and Barkley came on - you just can't see any of them making a difference. There's no talisman in the England team and the closest there is to that is Rooney, who's derided constantly and obviously can't take the pressure.

As Bonstar says, there's a passion and determination that teams like Chile play with is absent with England. I don't doubt their desire, but the pressure to succeed blunts it.

Yeah but hes too fecking slow .

Look at the Uraguay defence when we got in their 3rd , they got stuck right in straight away and clattered any threat .

Ours were just ball watching .

The whole team put a LOT of effort in but thats not all thats needed in football .

You need skill .

very few of these possess that .

agree totally , but you cant do something different with and old fart like Hodgeson at the top .

When that "something different " still includes Gerrard , Rooney and Wellbeck, you are pis$ing in the wind.

I dont think its pressure .
I think these players look good in the PL , because of the foreign playmakers , goalscorers that they have in their teams .

Stripped of them , they are exposed as the second rate divas they are ..

Van Judas destroys Spain , Jug ears struggles and finally gets a tap in .

Wellbeck , not a sniff .

Gerrard without Suarez is just a hack midfielder.

In the pool I am in I have England to go out in the group stages and they aren't disappointing me.

Young players playing in England are not comfortable on the ball, too many leg-breaking tackles at youth level that encourage players to kick the ball away. Look at Crowley. Involved in all 6 goals against Peterboro' and then gets this very next game at Coventry

The situation is hopeless.

I don't think it's got anything to do with crunching tackles. I just don't think England are good enough, either technically or mentally to deal with proper world class players like Suarez.

Last Thursday to this Thursday = one week longer than the Welsh were in the World cup <whistle>

That's what pisses me off the most, one week in and it's already over. Still, I have enjoyed a ton of games so I won't let predictable England (the real specialists in failure) ruin it for me. Hell, after I calmed down, I can't even hate Suarez.

When I was watching the Italy game I really thought England had brought something different to this Tournament. We looked good going forward and the Sterling, Welbeck, Sturridge combo looked really lively, like a breath of fresh air. But within two games we've been completely found out and our World Cup looks like it's going to end up like a stinking wet fart that's splattered the inside of our y-fronts.

If anything, we're used to by now.
