Denmark must have some top quality midfielders if he's been excluded. I'd take him just for the engine alone.
He seems the sort of guy who will push on more because of this set back, but gutted for him all the same.

It’s hard on him, but don’t forget he’s still only 22. He’ll be getting into his peak years by the time the Euro’s and the next World Cup come around.
Great news for us. He’ll be well rested and fired up.
I had better put money on Denmark to win the WC then - they must have some team if PEH cannot get in it. One of our few shining lights.
They were nailed on winners but unfortunately it looks like Bendtner might be injured.
True; was good in my view when compared to many others; but not sure thats much of a benchmark. Feel sad for him, but as FLT wrote above: we get him back rested and fired up for the new season...
But I wanted him to feel that he could get in his WC squad playing for Saints. Mind you, that didn't do us much good with a few other turncoats.

As people say, Belgium have a lot of talent, however I do wonder what sort of balance the team Martinez will pick will have.

It used to be we had a magic touch. This year it feels like we have a cursed touch when it comes to national teams 
Sterling and Alli are also in the top 5 for assists. (some bloke from Belgium tops that list - lucky we aren't playing them!)Not a bad front three

On current form, I would play:

Dier at CB means we can change to 4-3-3 if needed without a sub. I very nearly put Rashford over Alli, and Lingard over Loftus-Cheek
