No one's congratulating the winners, very strange. So fair play to Croatia, a small country only 27 years old with a population of around 4 million reaching the World Cup final. Thoroughly deserved winners on the night 
Yep, although we got to the semi final (amazing result) we lacked the killer instinct tonight. France should win the final easily but great World Cup for us, Never thought we would get to the semi final
Agree Boris, Croatia much better and i'd have bitten your hand off pre-tournament for this journey. And silver lining i still hold my betslip for France to win the tournament (no aftertiming here, i put them as my selection in Ste's comp)
Good game, best side on the night won, and Croatia have had to battle with three games into extra time, they looked fitter and stronger than the young English lads, who did better than expected, but this was the first proper footballing side they had faced, the hype was getting ramped, now its the windows and cars that are sadly going to cop it, expect France to win 3-1

They have a much bigger player pool than the 4 million population, most of this team werent born in Croatia I dont think. But still, good solid team with a world class centre mid and great heart from Mandzukic, most players wouldnt have got up from that and he must be a doubt for the final once the adrenaline wears off.
Right ladies and gents that's me done. I'm trying to cut down on phone and internet use and eventually get rid of my mobile completely. Don't want my kids growing up with their faces in iPads or phones and that starts with me setting the example and as this is my only online presence (no social media whatsoever) I'm going cold turkey and leaving the forum. Yeah very good team and a couple of truly world class players who, allied with some of ours not being quite up to the level, made the difference.
Mandzukic was pretty amazing - not sure I really like him after that though
respect for you trying to do that smokey , wish you well , i share your concerns with the way social media / internet has dominated many lives , to a harmful extent , when you see people at exciting events , not involving but filming on their phones you know it's gone too far , au revoir monsieur !
We pissed that up against the wall. You cannot be 1-0 ahead with 22 mins to go and cave in. Good young developing side, potentially, but 9/12 of goals from set plays when our forward line is so revered is surprising. We have beaten Tunisia,Panama and Sweden..they are bilge...Against the three half decent sides we have played our record is; lost two and drawn one (excluding peno's)..In the five an and half hours of play, in those matches, we have scored one penalty and one free kick..rubbish..I hate to agree with the thoroughly odious Roy Keane, but this team is not as good (YET!) as the media and some others would have you believe.
Sorry to see you go m8 but admire your do as I do tactic, very rare in parents, do as I say doesn't work. One of the sound ****s on here over the years.
Think some are being harsh on Rashford, I've said for a while he's England's best prospect, has all the attributes to be a top attacker. As I said last night, this was Southgate first real test and he came up way short tactically, Croatia were extremely comfortable all second half, they had complete control and Southgate made a straight swap for sterling, he didn't change the shape of the game at all. Rashford isn't a target man and England could only punt long balls by the time he came on, with dell alli and lingaard taught a football lesson by their centre mid opponents.
