    Decent first half for England some ropey defending but got away with it. Need to be ready for some Croatia pressing on second half

    Should be 2 or 3 up, that 45 mins was like 3 weeks, im a bag of nerves even though they never looked a threat.
    If we are 1 up and the board says 5 extra mins the nhs will need another £20bn just for tonight.

    England reduced to the long ball merchants they are, any justice the football team will go through. Fast runners and big jumpers should only take you so far in football, hopefully class tells, for the gd of football.

    Time for us to see what England are really made of, bar half an hour against Colombia it's been easy sailing. Very lucky to get to extra time the way the second half went. So much depends on what Southgate does now, has to change something up or this will end in tears.

    Absolutely. Chances in first half to get 2/3 goal advantage but in the end beaten by the side with a bit more craft.

    The England hating from the other so called home nations is pathetic on here. If it had been any of the others in they would have had full support. Best team won on the night no argument here, England didn't come out for the second half and were on the back foot from then. But regardless England have done us proud, Southgate and all of the players have been fantastic. For a team with no superstars (barring Kane) who a lot of people never expected them to leave the group a semi final appearance is an amazing achievement and it's been great following them through it. Well done England and lets look to the future

    Just not in it from the second half. Only one team looking likely to score. Luckily we won't get humiliated by France. Looked so promising in the first half. WTF happened. Rashford did sfa (I was hoping he might make a difference). Vardy isn't up to it. Very disappointing

    The proverbial game of two halves, England should have took their chances first half, Croatia were stronger second half. Neither team could complain if they lost 2-1 sadly it was us.
    Best world cup ive seen overall, im not interested in the final.
