To be clear I wasn't blaming anyone for not getting involved, the thought never entered my head. I just think people might react differently here instead of filming it.

So two **** british soldiers do something out of order and are subsequently punished... 8 years down the line and the ENTIRE british force deserves to have their heads chopped off.

what was one example ,, there are 100s others.. the most brutal not made public. i dont like violence but there will be some sort of revenge for what the uk troops done to innocent people, plus if they allow mixed race people in, there will always be a small percent that will be the family of the killed innocent by troops,, allowed into the uk.

These extremists have done what they set out to do, killing the poor soldier was just a bi product of there ultimate aim. This may not effect all of us but i bet now when the majority of white people (women, children, males) are walking down the street and they see a gang or even an individual looking like our perception of a Muslim, there will be a heightened level of fear, anticipation, forboding within them that they are going to get attacked. Obviously this will probably never happen but just planting the fear into our minds will be enough to give them the victory they crave. Fear is an aggressors biggest weapon and they are using it to full effect.

RIP to the murdered soldier and my prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

There is a huge disparity of views being expressed on this thread but one thing that clearly unites everyone that's commented is the disgust that we feel toward this incident and the bastards who carried it out.
Circa's earlier contribution about the role of religion (not just now, but historically) is spot on. I for one am becoming less and less tolerant of religion - all religion, not just the currently, obviously extreme versions of it.
I don't know the answer, (not short term anyway) but it almost certainly doesn't lay in deportation. Even if that seems appealing, it won't necessarily make Britain safer - the world is too small these days.
Frankly, until profit driven self-interest ceases to be the primary motive of international foreign policy, UNEDUCATED, impoverished people who will look to justify the unjustifiable, i.e, terrorism will find converts and superstition (religion) to support their case.
Believe it or not, there are actually places in the world where religious bigotry and racism do not exist. I've got my own views as to how they've achieved that and I'll give you one clue - as I said on a previous thread recently when commenting how I missed the last match of the season - I've just returned from Cuba! But that's another story and another argument I guess.
The reality we face when confronted with the horror of what's happened to this young man, is so awful that (for me anyway), it leaves us off balance if you know what I mean. And that can leave us unable in the short term to respond rationally. That's probably why it's best not to have knee jerk reactions but I'm not going to criticise people on here who have said things about Muslims and deportation that I might usually disagree with. A lot of those comments seem to be coming from people who are otherwise generally open minded and would perhaps think of themselves as pretty moderate.
I'll finish on that note because if there is anything that characterises Englishness, (not necessarily more than other attributes) it's moderation. We're not Nazi's and we don't really want armed coppers everywhere do we? Let's hope the perpetrators of this atrocity feel the full force of the law!

Not being funny but if there is a barracks right next door, why did they not come out to deal with the situation?

Not normally a fan of over reacting, but might be worth some mod banning Epic-Cheese for his own safety.

Epic should be banned, not because of his views, but because clearly he is fishing for a reaction. This is a football forum and whilst, I do not mind off topic threads, the fact is that the rhetoric on here is quite predictable and this poster is simply pushing buttons for his own sad satisfaction. He would not express them in public or if he was identifiable and so he must be banned, along with those who advocate a violent reaction against the Muslim community. They and he do not realise just how much they are playing into the hands of terrorist organisations.

If you have ever spent anytime in an area that is under terror you would be quite. You simply do not know who is reading what you post and what they could do. It's not brave it's stupid to put yourself and your family at risk, unless you really are prepared to stand up and be counted.

Anders Breivik didn't kill people in the name of religion, he was just a lone racist nutter.
