It's great to know we have people at the club making decisions that benefit the club, not just the bank balance.

Some people were kicking off because we 'sold' Stewart and Clarke but, in truth, we've barely missed them.

It may also be that Speakman rightly identified that one's injury would possibly reoccur and the other would be replaceable with what we had.

It's also a bit of a backhanded compliment that our medical people picked up what Liverpool hadn't ...

... if he'd gone to another Championship club, would they have identified the issue.

Perhaps we have to accept that what we see and hear is exactly what the club wants us to ...

... and, more to the point, what we want other clubs to believe.
Yep,agree with all of this...we're in good hands!

He's certainly earned our trust. Some have suggested his manner is difficult to deal with, but, everything I've seen has given me confidence in our future.
To be honest I don’t care if he is brusque in his manner. I care that he cares about doing a good job. He doesn’t get paid to be nice, although if he is then all the better. He gets paid to identify and recruit the best players for SAFC and in that respect he’s doing a very good job.

Think his next job after us is going to be a very large club indeed.

Think he will stick around until we are in the premier mind.

I hope that the supporters who were having a go at the club last season can see just how good a place we are in and I don't mean in the league table. Dodds and Speakman were getting pelters last season and we've seen from players how they felt about Dodds and if we do decide to replace him we'll probably not get an exact replacement in the way the players feel about him, here's hoping we don't find out how the players feel about Speakman for quite a while yet

Not just pelters, which is fair enough, but some people were getting really personal and vicious ...

... there were loads who said they wouldn't renew or come back to the club until they'd gone.

Really f*cking childish imo.

Especially as some was because Stewart left or Isidor was signed on a loan or they thought we should 'push the boat out' and pay whatever it would cost to get Ellis Simms and Sanderson in. I wasn't thrilled about Clarke leaving but we've actually improved without him imo.

Agreed. JC as good as he is was our creative outlet. Teams were getting wise to it. Now opposition sides don’t know what SAFC team they will come up against.

Jack Clarke was our only creative outlet, basically. He’d be immense in the current team where we aren’t as predictable.

I loved him when he was here but I don’t think there’s a place for Jack Clarke anymore.

If we had Clarke on the left wing, where’d we play Le Fée?
Not on the bench, that’s for certain; so we move him into the middle (where he belongs).
So then what happens with Rigg?
What do we do with Mundle, Watson?

We’ve moved on from Jack Clarke and we’re way better for it in my opinion (and the league table doesn’t lie)

I'd def like to see him in this team, he would need to move the ball faster than he does but could you imagine his link up with Le Fee!!

Clarke was a quality player for us, I held him high regards but I do think we've moved on and become a more rounded team since he's gone

I reckon if Mundle and Watson hadn't got injured then we would never of discussed Clarke returning in Janu

I think they are coming from he has been here for 7 years, and in the back he is possibly the weakest link, and with more money that may come avaiable that is where we need strengthen up,

the shirt pulling will get picked up every week with VAR

but this is an interseting talk and something I think will rumble on until he leaves or retires

there are some that just love him
some that dont
some that appreaicate what he has done but feels he needs has got as far as he can with us,
some feel he shouldnt be starting each week

And some who analyse every goal we concede just to see if they can pin the tiniest but of blame on him

Rigg is currently nowhere near the level Clarke (was) or Le Fee is playing at. Le Fee would go into his natural central role and Rigg would drop to the bench. We are a better team now than when Clarke was here undoubtedly which is massively down to both the new manager and our over-reliance on Clarke but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be a better team with him in it.

But it’s not going to happen and we have two very options on the left returning from injury.

I'd sign him up, he was imperious earlier in the season and has dipped a bit which happens to all players.
Can we make him permanent outside a transfer window?
Not officially and it definitely wouldn’t happen whilst we don’t know what level we’ll be playing at

West Brom fans are very happy with Lankshear’s first appearance. Rave reviews

He had 8 touches of the ball misplaced 3 of his 5 pass attempts and won one header

confused
A lot of comments on his movement and hold up. As we all know you can see a lot more when watching rather than just stats
