One that goes wrong shouldn’t be the corner stone for us not too look at them…No chance we’ll be looking at frees. Never works. Look at Connolly.

Wonder if we dip into the free market for a striker again if the new lads ducked

I'm done now I promiseRevelliere. Excellent free agent signing. Connolly might have offered something by end of season, has started reasonably well at Millwall. Generally you’re probably right but it does work sometimes. Very unlikely we’ll be looking though.No chance we’ll be looking at frees. Never works. Look at Connolly.
Hope we haven’t paid his billApparently his doctor told him he was fully healed but it turned out he was a quack.
I'm done now I promise
I don't think we would have signed him if he was fully ****ed, journos saying a few weeks atm
And all of them signed before the new manager started work….Wycombe signed 12 playersThat’s mental for a January window
Did Kone stay?Wycombe signed 12 playersThat’s mental for a January window

It is a bit mad like as you said clearly came out of a medical and too late to change to other optionsI was surprised to see that Danns is injured. It's frustrating news. I think we've tried hard to bring in a striker this window and struggled to get some of our targets over the line(no blame on the club). I think by the time we've discovered the Danns issue, it's been too late to bring anyone else in.
It's concerning to me, if the reports of up to 5 weeks are true; that's 7 games before he's even in contention. To be after a striker for the whole window and get one who's possibly available for the last 7-10 games isn't ideal.
Tbf if it’s 5 weeks from now he’d only be missing 4-5 games this month. The term several was used so could be 3-5 weeksI was surprised to see that Danns is injured. It's frustrating news. I do agree with this. I know we wait for players to become available near the end of the window but this is twice in a row where the most business ends up being done on deadline day.Something I'll say, probably my last comment on January window is this;
We are gonna have to be very quick and decisive in future dealings. No matter what league we are in. I imagine with more money we will be able to get the deals done quicker, but there'll be times when we hit challenges, we must be quick to weigh up and quick to get it over the line.
This one is hard to have a go at, they thought they got a very good player who could possibly fill in left wing and also give us extra options upfront, they've been blindsided by this injury.I do agree with this. That’s my only gripe.
It’s in part a byproduct of being so ambitious though in my opinion. You target a, say, Marcus Edwards on 1st January and firstly Sporting need to see if they can get a replacement as he’s still on the periphery of their squad (not complete deadwood) which takes time and then Edwards is going to want to keephis options open to see if a Prem move or, as happened, a move to a team with parachute payments materialises.Something I'll say, probably my last comment on January window is this;

Good post. You can tell we’re aiming higher but needing value while needing to offload and balance. This is hard to nail. My instinct is that we’ll be less disrupted than Sheffield Utd, but we do need luck. Time will tellIt’s in part a byproduct of being so ambitious though in my opinion. The only way you get targets like that over the line quickly and early in the window in our position is to pay an above market rate premium (to club and player) and that’s just not sustainable.
