On talent alone he is worth more, imo. That's insane turning down 12m for a player who has basically played 4 times in Championsship.

I'd suggest at this stage of the window and with how posts on here and otr have gone there's a fair few will love Watson to go just so they can batter the club.yeh I agree nobody should be thinking there are facts.
But it’s plausible he doesn’t want to sign a new deal and therefore the club are happy to sell him, whilst also making sure we are maximising the fee we get. Potentially other clubs to swoop.
hopefully this is all nonsense as you say and he’s about to sign a new deal
Or something better has come up?Could also point to us struggling to get others in too

Considering where we are this year and the business we have done, it's quite sad to read
But they cant control what comes out at the other clubs end. I agree we control our own narrative now, but there are plenty of leaks elsewhere in football. How strange that people were posting on here, a couple of hours ago, that a deal was done at £10m ...
... I think it's time to accept that the club controls exactly what information comes out of the SOL.
I got loads of first hand info before KLD arrived but he's lived his life surrounded by solicitors, accountants and advisors.
I doubt anything that's posted about financial matters these days, in fact I think it's all fabricated.
Sorry but this club isn't a Netflix joke any more, it's a serious organisation that's weeded out those who think they can take the piss.
I think it remains a bit higher tbh. Probably around £12m needed. A chunk of that would be needed to equalise out the wage difference. And then there’s the hit on their books. In truth that’s too much money for a champ club to be spending on a player. However the advantage is that we’d know he’d fit seamlessly back in - and the likelihood is that if he decides to come back, he’ll never want to leave again! Its my view we are already there, the reluctance of Ipswich to play him means they dont rate him in the prem, so we should pay less of a fee
Or something better has come up?
let’s not turn things into a negative
Pointy end of negotiations mate. I suspect that news is from our end, and intended for a specific reason. That's a serious bid to turn down. I still think he'll leave but that shows how much it will take to get him.
I’m not trying to be unduly negative, just getting a replacement at short notice could be toughOr something better has come up?

Another thing to consider.. if they’re holding out for these figures for Watson what will they value Jobe, Rigg and Hume etc at?
It doesn't. If just means we value him higher. There are other clubs in for him. I would love to keep him and have the window closed and for him to sign a new deal.
I think more bids will come in and he will leave.
If we don’t get anyone signed watch the witch-hunt of getting rid of KLD/KS beginSome people turn absolutely everything into a negative ...
... it's bizarre how supporters can have such a downer on their own club tbh.
There has been posts on here saying we have treated him well, then posts saying we offered piss poor wages. Same as yesterday's runour that's become fact that he's pushing for the move.haven’t seen many on here wanting him to go. If anything people have been saying we’ve treated him well.

I think a lot of our fans have a habit of massively undervaluing our players. We’re sitting on some serious assets (whether they’re playing for us or being sold on).Another thing to consider.. if they’re holding out for these figures for Watson what will they value Jobe, Rigg and Hume etc at?

If he goes the narrative will be he wanted to go and we are penny pinching / won't pay wages.
It will be even worse if we don't win tomorrow and don't sign at least 3 players
I’d be disappointed mind if we let Watson and Adil leave and then brought in willock.
