Think it was mentioned the other day that we are looking at some younger players this window as well

That's absolutely vital under the financial regulations, as is producing the likes of Watson.

Whatever we get for him is pure profit and makes a big difference in our ability to sign players.

Speakman is obviously switched on to all that and is being very clever.

Sorry @Scout73, I added a bit after you'd 'liked' the post, you may not agree now.

What I'm trying to say is that £10m for Watson isn't the same as selling Isidor for the same amount in the summer.

I'm not sure PSR applies on 'Football Manager' so some people may not equate that <laugh>

I usually get a call, on Sunday evenings, from a London based chap who I met through work. He rambles on for an hour so I don't always pick up. (Only joking.) He's a bit of a toff, if that's still a word, but a proper football fan unlike his mates so likes talking to someone who goes. He was saying he was intending to go to Dublin this weekend, for the Six Nations, which is a pain as he does legal work for sports and gets info you don't usually see.

On the one Sunday I'd love to be asking him questions I bet he doesn't call ...

... I'm posting this 'cos he reads this forum and I'm hoping it might give him a f*cking hint <cheers>

Why not just ring him?

the more I’ve thought about it, I don’t want a signing from abroad. There’s too few games left. Need someone who can come in without any sort of adaptation
