If it’s true what reports are saying. It could be a big bid from us for Geubbels. Can’t see a loan getting the job done after those rejected bids

If there is one signing we can make would you prefer a new long term contract for Neil, or a loan to buy versatile forward?

Just using him as an example because he was linked but if it was a toss up between Akpom or Neil new contract I’d take Akpom. It’s short sighted definitely but Samed could go straight in and I believe we’d be a better team with Akpom in it.

I still think Jobe could play the 6 very well personally and both Aleksic/Rigg will be wanting more minutes next season so it’s a sacrifice I think we could cope with.

Also maybe I’m reading into it too much I usually do but Geubbels would make sense when RLB mentions that the new signings should be able to have and form connections with the squad etc. RLB would know him, Isidor already knows him and I’m assuming ELF and Samed probably do too. And his profile fits what we want.

Just interesting that’s all

There’s huge logic in that link.

Plus we’d piss Luton off and **** Luton.

Yeah sounds like it might have to be, although i could see us offering the same as Luton and then just adding a £4m if we go up or something of the such.

I am slightly holding off on being excited because my french mates don't rate him at all and he's considered a huge flop in french football (I made the argument that he hardly played in his 4 years), but despite me liking him I'm still just that tiny bit hesitant.

I imagine Isidor is considered a flop by Zenit and Monaco fans not sure how much he played there but he’s really suited to this league. Could be a similar scenario for Geubbels he seems quite similar to Wilson but more powerful

Yeah i mean hes definitely slower, but i feel like everyone else on the planet might be. As long as the same people who thought Wilson was worth £4m can see Geubbels to be worth £8m+ I am more than happy to go along with them and see what they cook up.

Naa, he signed for Monaco as an 18 year old for their B team, never quite made the grade for them, I don't think their fans think anything of him really and he did flop at Zenit but the competition there was much higher than here at Sunderland. You can see why he's in the Championship and not the Champions League, although he is very dynamic and has some great attributes he can lack that bit of composure you usually see from top strikers.
