Yeah I think this will definitely be the case

Whilst I agree to some extent, I'd want a striker who wants a promotion on their CV and would also back themselves to contribute despite competition

The top teams always have multiple first team quality strikers - Sheff Utd this season, Leicester last season

Id be worried if Wilson picked up an injury which is why I think RLB wants one, but for the reasons mentioned the player pool is going to be small

Which is why I’ve wanted Frigan from the start

A) can probably make an instant impact
B) unlikely to demand to play every week straight away
C) big upside
I think I'd probably prefer one who is a bit further back in his development - and one who is more of a physical standout. For me, that impact off the bench would be easier to achieve if the target had either searing pace or is incredibly physical - ideally both! For me Frigan looks like he's 'alright' on both but not particularly high level on either.

Thats my way of thinking. How much will we have to pay to improve hugely on Isidor? We probably wont pay it, or risk putting Isidor's nose out of joint. We'll need a second choice striker then. How much will we pay to get one, a one who will come and accept being second choice? A one who is better than Mayenda? That would be a small pool of players to choose from. We are caught in limbo. A third choice or a loan would be more likely for now and we will be in a better position to assess in the summer I expect.

I don't get all the patter that a striker won't sign because Wilson always plays!

Players have to back themselves that there good enough, I don't want any players coming here that don't think they'll make a difference or get a game, what's the point in signing those players?
Wilson is playing atm because he's doing a good job there's nothing to say that he won't be dropped if a player is playing better in training or is a better fit to play against a certain team.

It's a squad game and we are improving the whole squad gradually nothing but good things can come of that.

All about opinions mate. I really like Frigan and think he really suits us. He’s such an intelligent forward

It isn't JUST Wilson, it's also Mayenda, players will choose an option where they will play from the get go, especially in Jan

We need to find someone who is more of a winger but has also played CF imo that way you can convince them there's plenty of space for minutes

Think that's a steal for him me. I know his work rate is not amazing but his goal threat is very very good.
Yeah hes looked totally checked out for a while, I am curious how boro plan on using him and doak because theyre both only really effective on the right.

Whittaker to come in and play up top for an outgoing Latte-Lath?

Meant to be abit of a bell isn’t he? Good player though, him and doak are incredible options for them

8m according to Keef, quite a lot for a one trick pony.

Robben did alright though and he had a similar trick so who knows

Yeah i'm not as convinced by Whittaker as a lot of people are (although partly comes down to forcing his way out of 3 clubs now) but i think its worth the fee if he can replicate that almost 30g/a season from last year or even half of that.
