Could go either way now. Either comes here and strengthens us or goes Sheff Utd and strengthens them!!

So much for Kieffer Moore if he goes there.

I doubt Cannon will want to hang around until February and bids have gone in ...

... I think it'll be sorted out quickly.

Sunderland will want an answer and won't be strung along ... in my opinion.

Leicester City late last night triggered an option to recall Tom Cannon from a successful loan at Stoke City.

The 22-year-old striker has scored 11 times for Stoke so far this season but that kind of form has alerted potential suitors in the Championship, including promotion-chasing Sheffield United and Sunderland.

He had been happy to stay at the bet365 Stadium but Leicester had an option to recall him in January that expired at midnight - and they made the call just before the clock struck 12.

I agree with this. I think we have put the leak out about the Croatian lad to show we have other targets lined up but Cannon is their main one and we want it done quick.

We have made a massive, early signing in Le Fee and it looks like were aren't messing around this window.

Cash is King and all that but I think this one will be resolved one way or the other pretty sharpish.

Even if we've offered the £13m obligation, if Sheff Utd upped their bid to £10m straight, Leicester might accept that over ours. Guaranteed money rather than take the chance on our promotion.

All about opinions I suppose

Neil is the heartbeat of this side and would be a hammer blow to our chances of promotion if he goes. He's a big reason why we are currently 4th in the league and imo we will struggle to go up if he is sold

Him and Jobe are a class combo together

Agree he’s been good last 8 or so weeks but he’s also the one with the least upside and we’ve signed Le Fee until the end of the season now. Obviously he’ll slot in for Rigg and we’ll have a good midfield 3 of Neil, ELF and Bellingham but I still think Bellingham should play the 6. He does everything Neil does on the ball but better. Better holding the ball, looks better defensively, great at taking the ball on the half turn. If someone HAD to leave this window and it was Neil I honestly don’t think we’d be a worse team without him. Obviously if we don’t go up and ELF goes back to Roma that’s a different story though.

Would Sheff Utd want to pay that sort of money for him? Unproven in the PL...

True, so far though even Sheff Utd were only offering a loan to buy
