Strange timing if he’s not.
If we do go for Cannon - any thoughts on if it would be a permanent deal rather than a loan?
Loan with an option to buy I think has been reported. I’d be very happy with the signing personally

Doesn't really sound like someone you'd trust defensively at LB. Can't think of many players who play attacking midfield or on the wing who also make solid fullbacks.

I'd be looking at some experienced short term cover at fullback personally, along the lines of Reveillere.
He did well enough level below, but at this stage provides cover til the end of the season

I wouldn’t be necessarily so sure it’s linked to Cannon. Clearly it might be. But doesn’t have to be.

All loans have a deadline around mid January for the recall. So the timing isn’t necessarily linked. The fact Lowe has been recalled might just mean Stoke want to use him.

Either way, cannon has to move before the 15th if a move is going to happen. So it’ll speed up soon if he is going

I'd rather get some experienced and cheapish fullback cover in and also look at specialist attackers rather than try and get someone in who can do everything but not necessarily very well.

Another 30+ player in the squad wouldn't do any harm either.

I’d expect us to get that Harvey Vale from Chelsea to cover Alese, I’m sure I read Chelsea are willing to let him go for nothing with obligations and bonus’s written into the deal.

Shame about Aji, hope he comes back from it but for me I’ve yet to be impressed by him, very weak for his size and just seems to go walk about every game where it’s difficult to see actually what position he’s meant to be playing.

Off topic, you were in Proper at the weekend, do you have to eat outside?
There’s no indoor but for Propa that I saw but as far as I know you can take your food around the corner and eat it under cover and under the heat lamps.

can’t see if you can take it into the pubs though.

Vale is not a championship LB imo

Could be the second coming of Emanuel Petit
