How would folks feel if we sold Patto and signed Meslier? <laugh>
Leaving aside quite how shaky Meslier has been this season (and at times in the past), we shouldn't be spending big on a keeper any time soon. If Patto does leave we should do no more than keep the seat warm for Matty Young. Depending on our league status we might not even need one to bridge the gap

Anyone else think if we actually do secure Le Fee, we might lose one of our midfield 3. Can't see Dan, Jobe or Rigg being too chuffed being in and out of the side. The profile of Le Fee ( must admit, i've never heard of him) suggests he won't want to leave a champions league side to be in and out of the side as well.... Just a thought

Every team fighting for the top of the championship is rotating players. Jobe and Rigg will be absolutely fine rotating the odd game. If anything it will be good for them.

Would be comfortable with Moore and Young if we are in the championship next season

But what if one gets injured or 1's form totally drops off - then we are hoping Samed gets up to speed quickly

I just think having 5 quality CM options, with Browne being the 6th when back fit is a great place to be in. It means we can rotate when players need a rest or the game requires a different type of player

Aleksic will likely be used out wide, like on Sunday, if needed - gives him time to settle into life in England without the same pressures on the pitch

I do think Adil might go if we bring in Le Fee tho, I know they don't play the same position but I could see him going still
I should qualify my opinion and what I've posted by saying I have no love whatsoever for the Premier League and, if I'm being honest, I don't particularly even want to get promoted (I know it's an odd view to have, I'm not trying to convince anyone otherwise but equally I can't be convinced that it's the promised land it's made out to be either).

If we're not promoted I'll be sad to see this excellent squad and great set of lads and players being picked apart but I've absolute faith in the club now and would look forward to another great and competitive squad being built with the likes of Watson, Young etc being integral. If I could choose I'd have seasons like this one and then win the Championship in perpetuity without ever getting promoted.

It's a long winded way to answer your question but if one gets injured or loses form then I think we'll cope (probably not to the extent that we maintain a top 2 challenge), as we have in Bellingham and Rigg's absences to date, and we'll continue developing players effectively along the way. I actually wouldn't mind another body in (I'm not against signing Le Fee , just trying to articulate my reservations) but I guess I'd just rather it was a capable back up that it would be reasonable to expect to see start on the bench.

Damn that's a very different opinion. Fair

Just regarding Le Bris' use of subs, it's not actually correct that he was reluctant to use them at Lorient. Apparently he made 145 subs in his first season (10th most in the league) and 148 in his second season (7th most in the league) - stats courtesy of "The Situation" on RTG.

I think his reluctance has been down to a lack of options due to injuries and a lack of trust in those he's had on the bench and I reckon we'll see plenty of rotation if we do good business this month.
