Another note of caution from me is that I think there's a hell of a lot of journo's just going off eachother here. I don't necesarilly think its a bad thing because I think the original source is legit. But I don't for one second think Dom Shaw at the Echo has been able to validate it. He'll just see that the legit sources in europe are reporting it, as are the Athletic, and think he may as well. This is where you have to be careful in transfer windows as once they all start believing eachother nobody will remember what the actual truth is
My good old mate Di Canios Knees OTR ‘ I’ve been told this is done like. Also been told about an experienced potentially* striker coming in on loan too, fingers crossed please log in to view this image Edit - it’s not a done deal but in talks.‘ in talks for a striker on loan and le fee is done he was the first bloke to hear about the kits and RLB, he told me about le bris and I got a bet at 8/1 before the media got wind of it was a great day
I think we'd be looking at £10m-12m from Spurs or Liverpool perhaps with a reasonable sell-on involved. Meslier is less clear but if the fans are ready to get rid a cut price deal might be available, I'd pay anything up to £8m for the player, but obviously go in a lot lower than that to see if they're keen on a clean slate. Not sure I agree with your last bit, they're both potentially international players, admittedly they've both still got a long way to go.
I’ve seen him get more right than wrong to be fair to him, I’m just not going to get too carried away until I see him in the stripes
I'm trying not to think too hard about how much better my life would be, and how much happier I'd be, if my job was a football journalist.
We've had to change shape recently because of the fact we only have 2 midfielders fit that RLB trusts completely. Browne is out for an indefinite length of time, Samed hasn't even made a squad yet, Rigg wasn't exactly playing to the best of his abilities before his injury, Jobe and Neil have played every minute possible to them, Aleksic needs time and is a long term signing. Our bench against Portsmouth was Cirkin, Aleksic, Rusyn, Moore, Hjelde, Johnson, Jones, Connolly, Ogunsuyi. We need more trusted players. Leeds had Gnonto, Ramazani, Joseph on their bench, Burnley had Foster, Egan, Koleosho, Boro had Riley McGree, Micah Hamilton, Isaiah Jones on their bench. The pathways wouldn't be blocked by a Le Fee type signing, the pathways are being blocked by players like Connolly, Rusyn and Poveda who are taking up a place on the bench for no reason. Still think that removing the non trusted players is the key to this window.
I've already chosen ELF's squad number. 28 is the only one left that's suitable. Do not dare tell me I've lost the plot.
