If we are looking at prem loans at left wing then Jack Clarke HAS to be number 1 target.

Louie Barry only makes sense if Ipswich don’t want to let Clarke go.
I think Vale might be the winger despite the relative lack of experience, can cover both wings and AM. Perhaps more a future signing but wouldn’t be surprised if we do go for him.
Reckon immediate impact loans more likely to be CM and CF.

I honestly can’t see him coming back, wouldn’t make sense for Ipswich either. Style of play is nowhere near the same. I’d imagine they’ll keep him as a bench option

yeah maybe. But if they’ve sussed his style doesn’t suit him they may look to sell him in the summer and the best way to maximise returns is to get him to have a good few months with us.

Let’s not forget the team was far less balanced with Clarke.

I wouldn’t be upset to get him back on loan but it doesn’t feel like a winner to me.

I think that was due to our lack of tactics rather than Clarke himself. I’m sure RLB would keep it balanced with him. In fact he did the first few games of the season he played.

Aye possibly. I mean if we could keep the balance and add Clarke goals assists we win the league.

You are probably right in that we wouldn’t need to out everything through him now which might actually make him even more dangerous when he gets it.

Like I say, it wouldn’t upset me we all adored Jacky, just not sure it’s the one.

Personally, don’t see that happening anyways.

Do the likes of Leeds just stop picking up points like? They’re already 7 ahead of us, scored more goals and conceded less.

We’re 25/1 to win the league for a reason

If you added Jacks goals per game ratio to the side this season, which is what I’m saying there as it’s all just speculation/fantasy anyway, do you seriously think if we added that to what we have we wouldn’t have another 7 points?

We absolutely would, probably more. That run of draws recently a goalscorer made them wins.

I suppose it’s all ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’. Despite Mundle doing well I do believe we’ve missed Clarke, quality player at this level.

I’d prefer a right sided version. Mundle will be back soon enough and if we get a striker Isidor can cover the left. Roberts has improved last few games but a match winner option with a strong shot on them would strengthen us.

Definitely agree there, we’re more than covered on the left side

But you would have to deduct the goals of those who replaced him. Like you say it isn’t that simple but even with this squad if we managed to see games out late on, we would be far nearer Leeds

No doubt about it. We are missing Clarke. He goal and contributions would be very very impressive in this team and set up. He was the difference in the tight games and I would suggest, that we would have won and drew significantly less if he was still here.

Absolutely. Mundle has done well but Clarke is still the better player for me like.

Oh aye, it isn’t black and white. What’s certain though is Clarke end product was higher, and you’d wager that would have converted a few draws to wins.
