Something to remember is that our strikers are still works in progress. Either learning how to play in England (Isidor), the intricacies of the role (Mayenda) or how to be effective in our system (Connolly).
That’s what gets me about Wilson. He’s been here a few months played what 15 games in England? And already looks quality bar a few additions to his game / system

he’s also only 24 himself!

I also don't think Mayenda being good at pressing makes him better for our system as a whole. Mayenda lacks the normal striker qualities that Isidor is much better than him at right now. That'll be to do with age but right now it's important

Isidor still has a lot more to prove before I'd call him the main man. He shows glimpses of real quality, his goals have been class and at times his movement has been good

For me he doesn't lead the line well enough, he doesn't drag defenders out of position to create space for others enough (jobes goal against Swansea is exactly what I want to see him do so hopefully more of that), he gets pushed about far too easily for being a big lad

He needs to learn how to show for the ball more with his back to goal and act as that bounce pass option, he hasn't shown enough of that for me

I wouldnt say I'd be disappointed if we didn't sign a striker tho as we do have some talented players in the forward areas but I know the club will still be looking at other options in case a quality player is available (that's the same for all positions)

Isidor needs to show a lot more for me, he has the potential to do it so I just want to see it now
My thoughts exactly. Particularly I would focus on him getting in front of the CB and securing it. I am prepared to be patient on that, we tend to focus on the wall pass a bit more in this country than in others imo. Time to learn for him, he has the size, just needs to learn to use it and take the contact better.

If an option to go up a level in CF I woulr take it and let them fight it out. But if we dont make a move I am ok. I still think Mayenda might be the longer term bet through the middle. Easy to forget how well he played early season.

Sign a RW to challenge Roberts and a RB to cover Hume is my priority. Anything else a bonus.

100%, he doesn't make double movements either which will make him harder to mark - especially since he has that explosive aspect to his game

I want to see him back into the CBs and start to bully them, he has a great touch and he's got the size you'd want in a CF but doesn't know how to best use his body yet - hopefully comes the 2nd half of the season

Hmm see i've seen him a few times nearly every game recieve the ball with his back to a defender and play the ball out wide.
It's more than just that tho, it's backing into the CFs to then do a wee lay off which effectively takes the defender out the game.

He has the potential to do it and I'm not writing hin off at all, just needs to learn to use his body more and improve his all round movement

Can appreciate your comments I just don’t agree.

I think his movement is good and drags defenders a lot.
I feel we miss him doing it because the midfield and wingers haven’t been making the runs or crashing the box, RLB even said he’s working on how to attack the crosses.

I really think Isidor is a good striker and movement is his biggest plus for me

I also think his link up and quick passing is good he sets the ball to midfield or wingers a few times a game. Can definitely do it more but he does do it

shows how different people see the game
Yep everyone sees it differently, I def see him differently to yourself buy nothing wrong with that

I like some of his runs in behind and he's good at finding space for cut backs in the box - I just want to see him actually use his body to get physical with defenders. Once a CF starts to get physical and manhandle a CB, the other defenders naturally close the gap to that CB which will create space for others

He has the raw attributes and that's what has me always wanting more with him, he's shown glimpses for me but I want to see a lot more than I'm seeing at the minute

I can agree with his physicality, but that’ll come with experience over here, I also think it just isn’t his style, he’ll learn

but his movement and finishing I like, bar his obvious dry spell and think he will score at least 10 this season.

hes a good striker and as said before is only 24, you’ve also got to think abroad he was playing off the left a lot more then centre forward so he’s learning a lot on the job

Mayenda was good start of the year but is no where near Isidor for me. He’s stronger but other than that I back Wilson all the way (at the minute)

Mayenda doesn’t seem to have the strikers instinct just yet for me

Absolutely no chance in hell…

even says in the article he would prefer a prem loan
I'd say there's a chance, will be hard to get done but I reckon there's a chance. He's been injured or poor for a wee while now so it's just about what team will help develop - we have that rep

Can’t see him ever dropping down to this league. He will go to a lower half PL side imo

Leicester are seriously considering a move for him too
