He must be sick as a chip. Constantly on his arse, benched. Surely he can offer something different in the middle of the park? Even more so when chasing a game.We need a proper 9 and a proper 10.
We may have the 10 in Aleksic if he gets a game like.

All about the future with this model mate. We’re crying out for something different centrally. Rigg is being ran into the ground, making mistakes he never usually would, look at Jobe last season. Ah well, Aleksic might be good in a year or 2 eh.Every clip of him he looks exactly what we are missing. Then we bring on a lad we are openly sharking about to get rid of. Baffling.
AA did a job of course but the point is Aleksic is supposedly one with a massive future and he doesn’t even get a belly rub.

After last night, is there hope for AA. I've personally always liked him and thought there is player in there, I hope there is a way back for him, he brings that creative edge when he comes on and always wants the ball and to be positive with it. Some nice comments from Roberts about him last night.
“I've got to give great credit to Adil,” Roberts told the media after the game against Bristol City. “I thought he came on. He's been nothing but put his head down in training. When he gets his opportunity, he gets his opportunity. I thought he did really well tonight."
“You've got to give credit, he's a great player. He sees them kind of plays and it was just a simple pass, you'd say. He's an intelligent footballer. He just laid on a plate and I just thought I'd just lash it as hard as I can. I'm thankful it went like that.”
It's strange isn't it, considering RLB's comments yesterday morning saying the 3 don't train hard or have the right mindset. I wonder if it could be personal between them two since Lorient. So he is training hard, looks in good condition and has quality.
Why has RLB completely banished him till now
He really doesn’t fancy him. Even when being positive about his impact last night he called out the deficiencies that he perceives in him. The control thing again. I think that’s a mistake, mind.So he is training hard, looks in good condition and has quality.

Which I think is strange because in pre-season AA really suited the system and I do think AA works hard chasing things down, strangeI’m convinced the AA (and maybe Aleksic)“banishment” is because he’s not trusted defensively / off the ball. This seems to be RLBs main focus. He can be working hard and be brilliant when the team have possession but if he can’t do the off the ball positioning stuff RLB won’t like him.
And RLB is quite conservative, so he won’t see 1-1 as a time to bring him on as he’ll fear that his lack of defensive work could cost us a point. What it doesn’t explain tho is why he wouldn’t be trusted to come on when we’re losing and need a goal, like last night.
For me it’s all part of the mindset shift id like to see in RLB. I’d like to see him demand wins rather than conserve points.

Yeah I get you, I just worry this might be a bit personal between RLB and AA from Lorient. AA has always looked a player to me and his career has been very mismanaged here so farGuess there’s a difference between working hard and being in the right position. Which might be what RLB means by “control”
