You guys know me, I come alive during the transfer window. But this illness going round has knocked me out. Haven't really gotten excited about it yet. Happy with where we are mind, tomorrow's game is huge.

Vinicius of Fulham is an interesting link mind. There's been a few exciting names linked today.
Hope you feel better soon. A few struggling at the moment it seems

Carlos Vinicius is another name that peaks my interest if he's actually a possible signing. 6ft3, technical ability, solid in the air, strong hold up and link play. Out of contract in the summer although Fulham do hold a club option for an extra year but i'm not so sure they'll be activating that.

He's played just 3 minutes this season so he's definitely available. Over the 4 seasons prior to this one he has struggled to get significant minutes, whether that's injury, attitude or another reason i'm not so sure. However when he is on the pitch his output is very good;
23/24:
665 minutes
5 goals
0 assists
G/A every 133 minutes

22/23:
1380 minutes
5 goals
3 assists
G/A every 172 minutes

21/22:
1436 minutes
7 goals
7 assists
G/A every 102 minutes

20/21:
1013 minutes
10 goals
3 assists
G/A every 77 minutes

(Stats are all competitions)

I'd be happy with signing him. Played for some huge clubs and if you put him on the field he will provide you goal contributions.

Could definitely see that fitting the description of an aerially strong striker who fits what RLB wants

What’s your opinion on this guy @Scout73

I can offer an opinion on Kone.

My dad manages a team at step 4 level and they played a team last season called athletic Newman. Richard Kone played for athletic Newman and scored in that game. I was there and watched the game.

I manage a team at step 5 level, the same level as athletic Newman and tried to sign Richard Kone for my club after watching him.

It was strange because he was playing for athletic Newman, scoring every week but not moving higher up the pyramid.

What I later learnt was he couldn’t play beyond step 5 in England until he secured a visa, and that visa process took over a year. I believe he said he is gay and would be persecuted in his own country for being homosexual.

As soon as he received his visa he was immediately signed by Wycombe and has been doing well for them. Still only 21 he seems to have a bright future but im not quite sure he’s at the level we would be looking at. Who knows though, he still might have further improvement in him.

He’s a natural finisher, got pace and is an all round decent centre forward. I don’t think he’s at isidors level for example, but is 3 years younger.

Bit of a strange story, but worth sharing.

Tragic that he was seemingly out and seems to have climbed back into the closet now he is in professional football.

Nixon at it again. Claiming city want Young and we’d ’sell for the right price’. While I’m sure that City could offer something we’d be forced to accept, he is once again making stuff up in the absence of any info whatsoever about Sunderland’s intentions.
City have been after Young for yrs, had multiple bids rejected in the past

Yeah indeed. I just don’t believe for a second that Nixon knows that we’d sell for the right price - or what they price may be. His contacts are heavily NW based. Fairly sure that’s why he chattered away a bit when Mowbray and Neil were in charge, given their history. I’d be confident he gets absolutely nothing from SAFC these days though - and any story he has is agent/club chatter from the other end of any negotiation. It’s why all his stories are about our players leaving.
