Bet Luke Hewitson might have something to say too.Paddy Roberts is the perfect pro to tell these young lads the perils of big moves too early. I would bet he is sharing that experience with Rigg, Watson, Young etc.

Agreed. However it’s another reminder to our fanbase that ‘showing some ambition’ comes with consequences. We don’t keep the likes of Rigg, Young and Watson without a clear pathway into first team games. And we don’t have a pathway if we ‘show ambition’ by bringing in a load of senior experience every single window.Be mad for any young player to want out of Sunderland at the moment. Such a clear pathway to not only minutes but a proper shot at staking and important place in the team/squad.
Anyone who wants to leave doesn't have their head screwed on.
We really need to pull out all the stops to get this lad in permanently. Hes the best defender ive seen play for us in many many years

Because they’ve both got a turn of pace I think Mundle and Watson could both step up to the challenge.Just been thinking about if we did go up it’s crazy the level in quality that we will have to go up for signings to come in.
I wonder who stays in the XI, drops to the bench and who ends up being loaned out.
Trying to be as unbiased as possible this is who I think will stay in the XI, drop to the bench and who could be loaned out
XI
Patto
Cirkin
Mepham (we hope)
Hume (maybe)
Jobe
Rigg
Neil
Subs
Isidor
Watson
Mundle
Roberts
O9
Samed (Maybe)
Ballard
Browne
loaned out
Aleksic
Abdullahi
Hjelde
Seelt
Triantis
(Whoever else)
I do agree. I would stress we would need 3/4 players who’ve played premier league football to come in too as well as exciting young talentBecause they’ve both got a turn of pace I think Mundle and Watson could both step up to the challenge.

Absolutely, there’s always someone better especially at our level. We’re looking forward not backwards though.I do agree. I would stress we would need 3/4 players who’ve played premier league football to come in too as well as exciting young talent
Agree. I will say though CF, CM, CB id defo want some PL experience for. Mepham could be the CBI think Isidor will step up same with Mundle and ballard
I’d bet on us continuing the pathway idea and letting many of our players have a chance to prove they can handle the step up. Certainly wouldn’t expect us to do a Forest.I do agree. Tragic that he was seemingly out and seems to have climbed back into the closet now he is in professional football.
Agree. I just hope we supplement the side with 3/4 PL players. It’s vital to have that experience in there.I’d bet on us continuing the pathway idea and letting many of our players have a chance to prove they can handle the step up. Certainly wouldn’t expect us to do a Forest.

He’d be an excellent addition if we could do it. Could do multiple jobs for us. Left back, central midfield. Even right wing.
Would be but think palace would want to include jobe in any deal as they are known to be keen on him, for me I would rather keep him for another yearHe’d be an excellent addition if we could do it. Could do multiple jobs for us. Left back, central midfield. Even right wing.
That’s what I think too. I think RLB’s style gives us much more of a chance in the PL than the others.we some how have to get into a position to be able to buy not yet signed, highly rated 18-20 year olds like brighton like baleba who play week in week out and dont look out of place
the challenge is monumental and inevitably come back down, however when i compare how we play now to have the 3 promoted teams this year, ipswich, southampton, leicester, we arent a possession pep clone team, we're comfortable without the ball and ideally we like to be without it, steal it and drive forward. I believe we'd invariably have more success than southampton at the very least.
