The lad was playing regular Champions League football last year, he's a level above Jobe and Neil currently.

I really think folk are under-rating Samed due to the injury, he's a "Le Fee quality" signing. All fit and on form, those two are the best two players in our squad.

I probably am underrating Samed because it doesn't make sense in my head that he's so good.

Le Fee makes sense. He had a move that didn't work, RLB is his favourite manager and if we get promoted, Roma get €23m. Win for us, win for Roma, win for Le Fee.

With Samed, the narrative is a Champions League quality player is allowed to leave Lens on loan and he goes to the Championship. Win for us - certainly if he's that good. Where's the upside for Lens and Samed? Why were Lens happy to let him go on loan and why were better clubs not interested? Something in that makes me think it's too good to be true and as we've not seen him in 5 months, I guess that doubt has perpetuated further.

I'm pretty confident that Samed plays the least of the 4 between now and the end of the season. Anything positive we get from him is just a bonus for me.

At the risk of sounding downbeat, I dont see how we can say Samed is a level above Neil or Rigg. He played Champions League football, but that is hardly the be all and end all. Many teams in the champions league are there to make the numbers up. Many players play champions league who wouldnt make it into a top champsionship side.

I wonder which of the 3 would command the biggest tfr fee? Why were premier league clubs not sniffing around Samed in the summer, but have and continue to look at Jobe and Neil.

I think we need to give the lads we have watched get us to within 2 points of the top 2 a bit more credit here. It is great to sign exciting new talent, but saying samed and Le Fee are the best 2 players in our squad when we havent seen them kick a ball in this league is premature for me.

Have you watched him play? I think most people, if they watched French football would probably agree he's a higher level than all our midfield. Need him fit to prove it mind, but he's got everything. Also, class for a yellow card bet. If he comes on today, he'll be in my slip

Hard to judge who is better imo,

Samed was in team of the yr in Ligue 1 and has played international football - cracking achievements for the lad

Neil jobe and Rigg are being watched closely because of their potential - plus PL teams always seem to keep a closer eye on home grown players

From what I've seen of him, Samed is a cracking signing - time will tell who our best midfield is but I love the 6 1st choice CMs

This really…

Samed hasn’t just played the odd game he’s played quite a good amount in the CL. He also was in that TOTY like you say.

I think a lot people really underrate the French league. It’s one of the top 5 leagues in the world for a reason

Lots of talent in that league for sure

Having said that Jobe and Neil are the heartbeat of the team and I'm starting them at the minute

Just nice that we have potentially quality players to replace them if needed

Probably because he was injured

Would be great if we could get Connolly and Rusyn out the door and replaced with a striker that can contribute. Would imagine we'd need them to go before making a signing though, our actual squad is huge.
It’s an absolute must for me

We’re desperate for some quality up top that isn’t Isidor
