Max Bird going to a Bristol City it seems. And loaned back to Derby. Bizarre.

If its just Hjelde, Styles and Mundle in, and just Pritchard, Bennette and Triantis out, then I'd say it's an "okay" window. Won't be as disastrous as many will make out.

What would have been disastrous is if we had got significantly worse. i.e. sold Neil, Clarke or Ballard and not replaced them. I think / hope Mundle and Styles will fit into the way we seem to want to play better than Pritchard did, so losing him isn't as bad as it would have been if we were set on playing with a 10.

Just want to add to this. Calling for Speakmans head is utterly ridiculous considering the constraints he is working within (which I more or less agree with) and considering he is under constant fan pressure not to sell anyone, there's still people who bring up selling Stewart as a bad thing ffs. He's done an unbelievable job on a shoestring and I am looking forward to seeing what he and Harvey will come up with after we sell a player for big big money.

I guess my point is that if you are unhappy with the window, maybe look above Speakman.

This is not an anti-KLD post, more of a pro-Speakman post.

I agree with all you've said there tbh. I'm actually enjoying the way KLD has us operating. Not long ago we chucked loads of money about and ended up with one of the most hated squads I think I've seen the club ever produce.

But gutted to be losing another promising player tho. But if a player won't sign a contract there's nothing anyone can do really.

I think the Head Coach needs to decide on which striker he rates highest and play him for the rest of the season. None of these lads have had decent runs in the team.
Think I would be siding with Burstow as he seems more of a target , is quick , hopefully he can gain confidence from scoring V Stoke but I agree we have to persevere with someone .

Just made the mistake of clicking on Wise Men Say's twitter feed. Jesus christ they find the negative in everything. No wonder so many of our fanbase echo the nonsense they spew.

For context, they're actually having a go at Speakman for his explanation of why we've loaned out Triantis. Speakman said Triantis has existing relationships at Hibs, and they think he should have just said "used to be managed by their manager". Anything to have a go. All. The. Time.

Twitter, and perhaps even on here, is going to be a nightmare in the next 2 hours or so as people start to realise there's no striker. I might stay of the internet until next week.

Let me guess ...

... if people don't go on one of the protests, that they always talk about but never happen, they're 'part of the problem and accepting mediocrity'. We should be stamping our feet harder and that'll definitely work <doh>

Christ :emoticon-0102-bigsm He’s started one game because there was literally no one else, much rather he got regular games than splinters in his arse

Agreed, plus we already have a biggish squad, you've got players like Adil and Rigg on the sidelines struggling for game time as it is. Signing more players will just block their pathway. The only area I'm disappointed we didn't strengthen was the CDM.
