he's an improvement by a long way. but dont think he will be a silver bullet. Burstow only got passed the ball 11 times on Saturday, and not at all from Ekwah, Ba or Jobe. We need to start looking for the striker if he;s going to start scoring loads.

Do you know if that 11 includes passes that weren't completed? Seemed to be a lot of times that when he was passed it he was either the wrong side of the defender or got a nudge and wasn't able to control it.

You are a hard fella to work out Exile, and not wanting to cross purpose threads but you will almost always look for positives when talking politics about the conservatives but seem to genuinely look for negatives about the club you support. That to me seems to be a juxtaposition within your nature or maybe I am reading you wrong here.
If on the footballing side you mean we often play well for a few games and then lose a game we really thinknwe should win I would agree but as has been mentioned over and over we are a young squad and consistency will be the key to our season.
If that was your point then Smug may have agreed in the most but to reference that how you did he is quite correct to point out the successes of the club lately and to call you wrong IMO.
Trying to spin your way out of that may feel good but does not take away your poor initial statent and subsequent stubbornness. All you had to say was yeah sorry meant this or that. But I guess you are learning from the political party you support.

Definitely rant Owa today <cheers>
Wished I could think and write like this, couple of merit marks for you son.

I don’t know, sorry.

I don't think its possible to judge someone on who they vote for. I think that is a dangerous and inaccurate road to go down.

See, I try to look for logical explanations too. In most of the recent criticism of the club, logic brings me to the conclusion that it has been an overreaction.

Which you're entirely entitled to think. Everyone's tipping point is different.

Unlike some others I don't consider differing opinions as some kind of personal attack or threat to my masculinity or whatever they use to justify their behaviour.

Perhaps you should wait for the person themselves to clarify their position before judging.

And consider that those posters are deliberately trying to bring politics into football because they can't win the argument on footballing terms. My political views are in the post above.
Fair enough I stand corrected on the politics.

We have I've been told a guy here today, but I bet its money that stops it going through, its the Leeds lad I was told. So just kidding.
The deal was supposedly agreed on Sunday.

That seems like the most concrete link so far Bob.

Decent signing if we can get it done.

Windup :emoticon-0102-bigsm

great news that. It’s an unsexy sensible post but essential all the same

They were ****e like. Not that it detracts from our performance

If Stoke really were shyte then it would detract from our performance tbh.

In reality they had more possession, corners and shots plus some good chances.

Birmingham, Norwich and Watford were worse at home imo, Sheff Wed, Hull and QPR away.

Stoke weren't great but a fair bit of that was down to our energy imo.

Well if we get the Leeds lad over the line I hope it’s the 1st of 4 this next few days

Seems all sorted tbh ....

Sunderland deal "agreed" to sign "very good" 20 year-old defender

I look for logical explanations. It's the only way to make decisions that aren't influenced by emotion and therefore most likely to eliminate inherent bias. Nothing more or less. More of a dog in the fight when it comes to Sunderland.

I don't support any political party. None of them are worth my support. I've made that clear multiple times but it suits other posters agendas to repeatedly claim I'm a Tory like that somehow wins the discussion. They're the one party I've never voted for, ironically.

We've played poorly compared to last season and won an awful lot, it's just a fact.
Logic would dictate that we are no worse or much better than last year based on current position and points so I guess one person's logic is another's opinion. As for the Conservative party I should not really have brought politics in to it so that is my fault.
On the footballing side I do not think we have been worse all season but we have struggled to find form over the last 10 games or so but we have also managed to stay in and around the play offs which in itself considering the upheaval within the club is some achievement.
All in all I hoped we would have been closer to the top 2 this season and early form suggested this may happen but we did hit a sticky patch and we lost some important games at the wrong time. I do not think we are worse just think we are adapting and moving players to find the right fit. I am not sure on MB but am willing to give him a chance.
I can see the problems at the club but choose to support the club while it builds and moves forward rather than complain about what it is not doing. Yes issues need to be raised but some fans and posters seem to take it to the nth degree and go over it again and again trying to convince anybody who is listening that it is of huge importance.
What is fundamentally important to our club is the support for the team on match day we should be the loudest most feared ground in the Championship with fanatical fantastic support bouncing from the rafters from kick off to final whistle but instead we have people moaning that the half time bovril is too watery or some other crap! As you can tell it gets me frustrated. People need to remember what the word support means and our fans should and do show it more than most but some of the entitled complaining really gets my goat as there are still a lot if positives to look for even when we are struggling. I even said myself a few weeks ago that I could not see much light at the end of the tunnel but like most tunnels they eventually end and light is visible again.

This is a team that has just got a draw off Ipswich whilst down to 10 men something that we couldn't do in two attempts, I'd go as far as to say if stoke looked ****e against us (which they didn't) then it was us that made them look ****e

To be fair the bovril is too watery
