Yes we need amad, we need xfactor players and amad is that

He gives us options in the attacking 3rd that we just dont have at the minute. He will be used either as a no10, jobe will then play deeper or used as a right winger

We need more than 1 good option per position

Yes theres other areas that are more urgent but if you can sign a player to improve the team then you do it - you can never have enough match winners
We are short of goals and he scores them. Simple as that

Amad? Was great for us but do we really need yet another attacking player who doesn't know his best position yet?

Who's he replacing in the team when everyone's fit? Clarke? We know Jobe can't be dropped or rested. He's not a striker. Roberts? Maybe, but we've now got Ba showing signs of progressing.

I think we have far more pressing priorities like a defensive midfielder and a left back.

He would be the best player in the championship by a country mile.
Any championship club would be insane to not get him in if they could.

I think if we only get Amad it won't make a difference.

We will score more goals TBF.
I'd be happy just seeing him Clarke and Roberts playing championship version Harlem globetrotter football for a few months. With Ba hopefully dipping in and contributing as well.

Footballs about entertainment as well as results for me.

club won't budge, see if the get praised for that

Im sure the club will be praised if they refuse to budge. We’re so used to seeing us sell players for a fraction of their value so I don’t blame fans for expecting it to happen again.

Getting the top value for our players is a key part of the model though so I think you’re right. £15m is ridiculous when he went to Spurs for £10m so long ago and is a much better player now.

Just to put that £15m Clarke offer into context, £10m in 2019 is about £12.5m now with inflation. So they are suggesting he has only improved very slightly since he went to Spurs.

Ridiculous

we got 10m for stewert who's has played about 14 times in 2 years, i think the big question will be how we reinvest it

I think it’s pretty clear that we will not be taken for a ride on fees. Didn’t with Stewart and nor will we with Clarke. As previous posts have said, the challenge will be on the reinvestment.

looking forward to seeing how they reinvest this summer. January always a nightmare.

summer going to be interesting as likely key players to replace
