"Immediate". Be interesting to see how much Mowbray has to do with this. Funny how he's heavily liked with Birmingham.

Club have a decision to make, tell him he is staying or get a fee from Birmingham.

No way the club should release him after spitting his dummy out to get his own way. The unprofessional little prick.
The man has his future to look after
Have we treat him correctly

What's that got to do with him refusing to play, he's under contract so play the game.

You do know he told the club late Thursday night that he was confused and annoyed that Speakman come out to the public, sang his praises but the offer that he provided was a reduction of terms and only 1 year. That, would mess with anyone's head. So he told them Friday that.

The fact the club then waited until kick off hour to announce is really poor. They have done well making him out to be the bad guy.

For all we know there was dialogue up to that point though and they were hoping he would reconsider ?

No.

That's not my information. He told the club he was unavailable as he simply didn't understand the information getting put out to the public and it wasn't representative of what he received.

Good piece from Phill here. Really showing how Pritch has been done dirty. Its fairly on the money.

I'll be sad to see him go.
Read same article and i dont think hes been treated dirty. He wanted a contract in the summer, the club didnt want to give him one at the time then the club offered him a yr deal this month. Thats not doing anyone dirty thats football, happens all the time - players think they deserve X but the club think they deserve Y. Hes getting offered longer term deals elsewhere, thats not on the club at all n fair play if he wants to sign one of them

I still go back to it you still dont refuse to play for your club imo - maybe im a bit old school in that sense. As sunderland fans we say all the time we want players to wear our shirt with pride, and he refused to wear our shirt today - i cant forgive him for that

Some will welcome him back but i cant

What we do know is 2 weeks ago Pritchard was on ssn and confirmed he hadn't had any offer from the club or elesewhere.

Then this week, its announced we have offered him a new contract and today it's further announced he wished to be leave and not be considered for selection.

It's not a great look all round and while I can see why Pritchard wouldn't want to play and risk missing out on a move, I don't believe it's right for a player to do that

I have explained why this has happend in other posts on this thread. Makes sense to me.

He’s a professional footballer so his salary will be a joke compared to the majority.

He is spitting it out cos his offer of maybe half what most fans make a year a week isn’t what he hoped for, when he’s literally had about 25 really good games for us in years?

Naaa, **** him. Aouch has 12 times his talent anyway.

You don’t go to work you don’t get paid.

It's the fact we should have offered him a proper deal. I don't agree with him not playing but I don't blame him either.
None of us know what the deal was

I want the club to be tighter on their contract offers, for far too long we just gave players what they wanted rather than what was right for the club

If they dont see pritchsrd being a key player in 2 yrs time why would they offer him a longer deal? If they feel he might block the likes of riggs progress by then, then they have to do whats right for the club

The key now is to get the best price for him, i also think him not being there might force us to play 433 which i think suits us more - still need at least 1 cm to sign tho
