One in a striker or midfield? I’d argue we need the midfielder more, makes us less vulnerable to the counter attack if we’re more solid in the middle we can be braver going forward and in theory can create more for the strikers here

I think we need a striker as a priority mate. Against Hull we were toothless, even though some of our midfield play was good. Rusyn isn't strong enough, that's clear. Without a front runner,we're relying on Clarke for our threat and everyone we come up against is doing their best to nullify him....we need more options.

Pritch i think will stay , he has been offered another year, but wants 2.
Hemir will go and 1 other, but only 1 in.
IF and only if we pay the fee's, that seems the stumbling block.
I honestly think KLD is kept in the dark over some of the **** that goes on at our place.
The rest of our top table are so arrogant it's unreal.
I’d be inclined to give Pritch the two then sell him for a fee in the summer. 1 in is worrying. I hope it’s a 9 personally but we need a left back. I’d be hoping Hemir loan striker in, Bennette loan winger in, Matete loan cdm in and a left back.

We needed more than 1 before January, then we had the Huggins injury. That would worry me a little as I don’t think it’s enough. Two out is fine. Regards your point about KLD, if true, I bet he’s onto them now.

And if he's not, then he may as well be one of them, sadly.

A striker will not do anything until JC and whoever is on the RW give them service.

Hettonbot on RTG saying KLD is "releasing some funds", he/she spends that much time on there and posts so much that I think they are linked to to the club in some way.

The reason we don't see service is because there's nobody to give service to! When Clarke, and let's say Roberts or Ba,get the ball, the tactic is to cut inside and try to create a chance....there is no other option. If we had an option to a front runner, we would use it.Whenever the likes of Neil,Ekwah,Jobe or Pritch come forward from central areas, there is only one choice.....give it to Clarke. And,when we do come inside to lay the ball off, they often take the option to lay it back to one of the midfield runners who have no choice but to try their luck from 20 yards out, which, apart from a couple of excellent Ekwah strikes and a worldy from Pritch, inevitably leads to Row Z or worse.

They’re cutting inside faced with numerous defensive players in front of them though because everyone knows what they’re going to do. They just get men behind the ball and defend it easily.

Defenders would snap your hand off to have the game played in front of them for 90 minutes and not have to deal with any crosses or balls in behind.

If we get a 9 that justifies regular starts. A confident authoritative player the players will get used to them. We do need to give someone a run for that to happen but they have to earn the place. Clarke and Roberts and Amad did feed Stewart.

Bob, is there any truth in the potential takeover rumours. I know we are waiting on the minutes from last Friday's meeting but the club are very quiet. They could easily have addressed a lot of this negativity by getting on the front foot a bit, perhaps a video interview with KLD apologising for the BCB, Speakman talking positively about transfers, give Beale time to shape his own team etc.

Looking at the football financial crisis, and that's what it is, I'm not surprised things are quiet.

The PL is an absolute mess and the lower leagues are like minefields, one wrong step and you're blown to pieces..

The Championship clubs are caught between the vast income, not wealth, of the PL and the oblivion of L1. For every Brentford and Brighton there's a Reading and Derby.

It's no wonder the betting companies are so involved in football, the whole game is a lottery. It's only normal that supporters want their club to chase the dream and 'invest' as they see it ... Short almost invested us into oblivion.

There are never protests about mortgaging the club to death, or selling off the stadium, until it all goes horribly wrong ...

... there'll be more clubs going under in the next few seasons and the PL may splinter.

If I was an owner I'd be very cautious. ...

... as a supporter I want three massive signings today and new contracts for all our stars <laugh>

We need at least two - an experienced defensive midfielder and striker.

Looks like this much vaunted plan and method has bits flying off it at an alarming rate. We should have at least half a dozen potential targets for both those positions at various stages of scouting.
