Aim WAS top 2 but that is not realistic so changed the Aim rather than lower it I would say?
Well it’s the same as far as I’m concerned. His actual words were that “ no one was satisfied with getting into the play offs”. If he had have said initially that he was going for the play offs but now wanted top two, people would have said he’s raised his aims.
Anyhow back on track, just give us the ****ing money

Also, Beale expected to be given sufficeient time and this transfer window..aim is playoffs.

Internal SAFC people not happy with fan over reaction to Beale..he will be given time.

if I try to look at this neutrally it is an overreaction by the fans given the time he’s actually coached for Sunderland.

There is a big BUT though. A lot of what people said about Beale seems to be coming to pass, whether this is due to the toxic atmosphere in the stadium or through his coaching (and I’m talking about our positive free flowing football, smiles on faces etc)

I haven’t boo’d the feller, I won’t boo him either.

like I said before I hope to god recruitment is working hard as they are going to have to pull out some diamonds.

Glad to hear it. Whether you like him or not, the reaction to performances has been massively over the top. We've lost two league games in a row by the odd goal and could easily have got 4 points. You'd think we were getting hammered and getting pulled apart all over shop

Disagree. We’ve been ****e under Beale. Really poor.

I’d take the win at the moment, but Jesus, Speakman needs to be working hard on incomings. I think he’s at the crossroads and could go either way for him.

I'm not being contrary mate, I just don't see it that way.

If his remit was to bring in a bunch of players, at the lowest cost, who'd give us a chance of the play-offs, while vastly increasing their worth, I'd have to say he's done that. Some of the players, he's brought in, should be playing much better than they are. Burstow, as an example.
How can a 6'2" twenty year old PL player be so weak, inept and slow? It's absolutely ridiculous that someone, who's dreamed of playing professional football can look so disinterested and timid.

But some of the young lads, like Ba and Aouchiche, clearly want to play and learn, so it balances out. Who knows how things would be if we hadn't lost Evans, Huggins, Cirking, Roberts, etc etc etc. I know all teams have injuries but some of our are to players who could really make a difference. Speakman has the confidence of KLD and I don't see that changing quickly but, I agree with you that this window will greatly affect the supporters opinion.

Thing is, it shouldn't. If the players we need don't exist or aren't available, what's he supposed to do? Magic them out of his arse?

Yeah I meant with the fans. His comments were he has an “obsession with progression”. We need to progress and improve every window, which is basically what I was intimating. He needs to pull a rabbit out of somewhere. The chants at Ipswich about wanting a striker and then there was a bloke next to me on Friday night, singing, “ we want Speakman out, we want Speakman out”. I thought he was a mag cos I could have sworn he was singing “ we want sweets for nowt, we want sweets for nowt.

If he had a fancy French name people wouldn't be calling for him to be sacked after 5 weeks. It's not been particularly good but he's not exactly had lots of options. It's not like he's got a load of talent on bench who he is leaving out
<laugh> Don’t be so ridiculous. It’s nothing at all to do with his name. He hasn’t been anywhere near good enough.

It is though. People didn't want him and have made their mind up. If he'd been a popular appointment and made this start people would be fairly chilled. Hes the fall guy for wider problems at club.

Unfortunately no one had heard of him
And that Dosnt help

Left chat..say Clarke goes to West Ham...would we take Michail Antonio on loan for the rest of the season?
A fit Antonio would be the best player in this league. I am not sure he is fit though and games are running out.

I wouldnt be against cashing in on Clarke for £25m now. If we got Langstaff in, with Rusyn on the left. That would be the start of a different looking front 4 with a high intensity style. The more I ponder the more I think we have neglected pace. A bit of that in the middle alongside Neil would be nice.
