I didn't get the love for him either.Yeah, same. My love in was with Jan not Yann. Far superior player. I wasn’t sold on him like everyone else when we were premier league. He’s 33 and hasn’t been playing a lot.
Not convinced he is what we need.

I've been impressed by him too and his scoring record at a modest level is good, I just never saw him as a top premier league player which is what that price suggests.
Haaland cost City 52 mil. That was a bargain but it's a reasonable comparison.
Yann was a brilliant player. One of my favourites last 20 years.

Cana man, loved that lunaticI thought i was the only one. I really liked Yann when he played for us, but i could never understand why he was hero worshipped as much as he was. I used to think he went missing sometimes during games.
Like you said Jan was far superior and dare i say it, so was Lorik Cana.

All about opinions but couldn't disagree more, to me Jan wouldn't have been the same player without Yann alongside him. Look at him the season after when he had ndong alongside him, he was crap, when he wasn't injured. Yann was a class act imo. He tailed off a bit second half of the season but he was playing pretty much every minute of every game. Thought he got his form back the final half a dozen games to help us stay up.I thought i was the only one. Liverpool wasn’t it? Could still be playing now and they wouldn’t have scoredMe too i was gutted he didnt stay longer. I remember him dropping in at CB in the second half in a match we were winning and clinging on whilst they were pushing for an equiliser and he was like a brick wall.

Thought he had pretty much everything you want in a centre midfielder.
Yeah. Was class. Not sure on it me.
That said, would rather re had a chance on yann than nowt. Evans is the same age. Been out injured over a year, played half the games Yann has in the 3 years before hand. So the people who want Evans back, Yann seems sensible.
That said, we should be buying playings at a better age, who have established champ experience.
Yep. If Yann was as good as our fans made out he would have had a more stellar career than Rubin Kazan and Rennes following on from us.I thought i was the only one. Mine too Billy, he just used to tick over the midfield. Quality player.Yann was a brilliant player. One of my favourites last 20 years.
Weird one this. Personally I think we should be offering him an extra year, however we don't really know the full story.https://x.com/capt_fishpaste/status/1747948517975302167?s=46&t=bFwez-5oi7CdxUG56_1QKg
