Yann was a brilliant player. One of my favourites last 20 years.

Only because his wages are 500k a week and a massive agent fee.

Yeah. Was class. Not sure on it me.

That said, would rather re had a chance on yann than nowt. Evans is the same age. Been out injured over a year, played half the games Yann has in the 3 years before hand. So the people who want Evans back, Yann seems sensible.

That said, we should be buying playings at a better age, who have established champ experience.

I thought i was the only one. I really liked Yann when he played for us, but i could never understand why he was hero worshipped as much as he was. I used to think he went missing sometimes during games.

Like you said Jan was far superior and dare i say it, so was Lorik Cana.

Me too i was gutted he didnt stay longer. I remember him dropping in at CB in the second half in a match we were winning and clinging on whilst they were pushing for an equiliser and he was like a brick wall.

All about opinions but couldn't disagree more, to me Jan wouldn't have been the same player without Yann alongside him. Look at him the season after when he had ndong alongside him, he was crap, when he wasn't injured. Yann was a class act imo. He tailed off a bit second half of the season but he was playing pretty much every minute of every game. Thought he got his form back the final half a dozen games to help us stay up.
Thought he had pretty much everything you want in a centre midfielder.

Liverpool wasn’t it? Could still be playing now and they wouldn’t have scored

I did rate him mate, just not as much as alot of other fans. To be the complete midfielder he would have needed to add goals to his game aswell.

He showed in glimpses he had the potential to be a top 4 player, but like i said i used to think he went missing sometimes. I dont think he ever filled the potential he could have had, and looking at the clubs he played for after us backs that up imo.

    Reckon it’s a legit link?

I personally think he’s just what we need in that position at this stage. Obviously isn’t a long term solution like.

Yep. If Yann was as good as our fans made out he would have had a more stellar career than Rubin Kazan and Rennes following on from us.

I also thought he went missing in games and his impact was minimal. Jan was on a different level altogether. The two can’t even be compared, imo.

Jan was a quality player, think the two complimented each other. Yann for me best midfielder I’ve seen for us for box to box. That game against the mags at home 3- 0 where he got MOM I think it was, he was absolutely unreal and totally bosses the game.

Sounds like they want him on a free in the summer.

    Fair enough i guess

Weird one this. Personally I think we should be offering him an extra year, however we don't really know the full story.

Mowbray barely played him and called the contract situation 'complicated', as soon as Mowbray was sacked Pritch has started nearly every game apart from when he was ill, even then he was getting minutes.

Also, Speakmans record on outgoings is very good, I don't think any of the players that have left the club under him have proved him wrong.

I think a pre contract where he leaves in the summer I would be ok with.
