Thomas would be a good signing. Can play left back and wing back comfortably so gives us some flexibility.
Of all the players mentioned mentioned as "being looked at " he would be the first one to let ho for me. He seems to be rooted to his line or even the 6 yard line when a long ball is played through (there was an example on Friday night). Also his distribution is shocking. The silence is deafening, they are very good at keeping our targets in house.
Seems that Patterson is in demand, how would you feel if we were to let him go if the money was good ?
Good shot stopper but doesn't command his 6 yard box, it must be my age but back in the day a keeper would try to boss his area and relieve the pressure. It's like a pinball game at times when the ball comes into the box .
Hopefully true, i mentioned him the other day as the ideal signingSunderland are targeting Leicester City defender Luke Thomas to strengthen their ailing left-back position, Sunderland Nation can exclusively reveal.
My worry is that Alese isn't that good in the air. That needs improving before he plays CB. I really want to see Seelt and Ballard together - that is the imposing, dream ticket for meWouldn’t mind seeing Ballard alongside aji at some point this season so all for Thomas coming in
Me too and I still believe a back 3 of Alese, Ballard and Seelt would suit us but just can’t see it happening. O’Nien gets in, whatever the formation…I’d like to see Seelt get some game time personally he’s been solid whenever he’s played and he’s not played in his preferred position yet.
I think that only happens with an O’Nien suspension or injury. My worry is that Alese isn't that good in the air. That needs improving before he plays CB. I really want to see Seelt and Ballard together - that is the imposing, dream ticket for me
I think Thomas is out of contact in the summer so could be permanent instead of loan?
Not denying that mate, I just think he would be a bit more replaceable than all of our other saleable assets
I hope so. Would be a cracking signing imo.I think Thomas is out of contact in the summer so could be permanent instead of loan?

I wouldn’t have him anywhere near the midfield personally but I do understand the CDM suggestion from supporters. Something needs to change.I’ve no issues with o’nien playing tbh but it should be as cdm sit in front of the defence can’t understand why it’s not been tried.
I know he had a mare when we first came up but he’s got to grips with the league now.
Surely worth a shot
Fingers crossedI think that only happens with an O’Nien suspension or injury.
Stupidly I keeping forgetting about Seelt, he couldnt have done much more in his appearances yet can’t get a look inMy worry is that Alese isn't that good in the air. That needs improving before he plays CB. I really want to see Seelt and Ballard together - that is the imposing, dream ticket for me
i still think putting ballard and him together with onienStupidly I keeping forgetting about Seelt, he couldnt have done much more in his appearances yet can’t get a look in

They must try out different variations with the defenders, maybe without midweek games Beale can experiment. I agree, Seelt along with Rusyn must wonder what more they have to do to start regularly.i still think putting ballard and him together with onien
in front would of helped with a couple of of are problems with a CDM
