Mowbray really starting to annoy me. First it was slagging the club off to Bernie Slaven, now he's saying stuff like this in the media. He knew the role when he was appointed and he had no complaints when he was winning games, only started whinging when his tactical stubbornness was costing us games. Not surprised we gave him no input in signings when the signing he does make in Dack is an overweight, injury prone waste of a wage. We were running at 1.42 PPG with Mowbray, without him we are up at 1.85. Pretty clear who the problem was and it ain't the recruitment.
Do we know as a fact dack was solely down to Mowbray? It's speculation

He was on SSN earlier waffling on about how good the buffet was at Birmingham

Definitely but it was KS who brought him in.

It wouldn't surprise me if they both ****ed off at the first chance they get due to the way some of our lot are going on.
Do you mean the rumours of Birmingham City fc after only 2 days in the job. its probs started by some journo in Brum.

I would hope they are bigger than that. Hotseats in football are just that. Need thick skin. If you cant ignore fan criticism then it isnt the job for you imo.

Id be selling Clarke if it guaranteed a decent fee. At this moment in time he's in-between lower premier League and Championship quality. If Saturday was anything to go by he's firmly Championship. Trippier didn't give him the lickings of a dog.

If we could sign a decent goal scorer and productive right winger and tighten up left back and cdm Clarkes goals may help get us up there. If we need money to fill those gaps I possibly agree.

I am struggling to think of many better 1v1 full backs defensively mate. I think Clarke would enjoy playing against more full backs than not. He has this natural ability to keep the ball on his foot and then shift it after his body movement. It is a body movement not a trick. Trippier is a savvy as they come, a lot arent. Just my opinion but I can see why West Ham fancy him, and they are now a very good prem side.

A fair whack of our fans seem to have no appreciation of the work they've done to get us where we are.
I said previously this is my only internet safc site. I understand that there is a bit of a fuss elsewhere. I dont really think it is a big deal, a small minority of noisy buggers. I really hope Speakman and everybody else doesnt really give a toss about any of it. I was in the ground and I never heard much whining about the onfield stuff, just praise and delight really. We got well beat, but they were better by a distance, end of for me, and judging by the lads I walked out with the same. We all want to beat them but right now we cant. I think I have a query over their approach to coach appointment process, and they need to do a bit better in recruitment in my opinion. But they are on a hell of a positive trajectory overall.

For example a £25m bid for Clarke comes in. Do we turn that down in the hope that the 1 in 10 shot of promotion comes off? It would be naive to assume we will get similar sized bids in the summer. (on the flip we may get even bigger ones in the summer - but look at Stewart, there's no guarantees with anything)

Personally, whilst I obviously would not turn down promotion (I was devastated after the Luton semi final last year), I don't think the club is ready for promotion to the PL yet anyway. Obviously you dont turn it down if it comes because the parachute payments alone are transformational.

I'd much rather we took a high fee now, accepted that our chances of promotion slips from 1 in 10 to 1 in 15, and use the money to sign 2-3 quality promotion ready ideally already British-based players in the summer.[/QUOTE

reminds me a lot of when we were in league 1 with mcgeady. Became too reliant on him. Give him the ball as often as possible and hope he can work his magic. Same now with clarke. If we get a good fee. Buy some decent players and maybe we have options to play different waysinstead of get the ball to clarke. Just a thought
