Ive just heard that weve enquired about shankland from Hearts
What’s he actually like? Other than lethal infront of goal I can’t pretend I’ve watched alot of hearts I struggle to get through the old firm most of the time
He is clinical, really good finisher - he doesnt snatch at chances which i like. My biggest concern is the physicality of the championship, i think he will struggle with the speed of the game. He lacks speed but a couple of my hearts supporting mates are adamant that he would be class for us. 1 is a pretty good judge of players and said with roberts n clarke he would do really well for us
Im not against the signing as his finishing is quality but worried about him adjusting to the pace of the league
What’s your opinion of him mate I’ve seen him up in Scotland a couple of times few years ago when he played for Ayr. Prolific but at that level but wasn’t convinced about his ability at a higher level

I would say hes a lot better all round player since his time in belgium.
Hes a strong lad n technically good so def not against it just really not convinced he can adapt to championship football
Shankland is obviously a decent player in Scotland, but most can't successfull make the step up down here so he'd be a risk . . . . like most of our signings.

The ones who arent a success are ones that lack physicality. English football is played at a higher pace n some really struggle to adapt to that.
