Strikers are a specal breed, goalscorers win matches, I am not saying that I particularly want any of those players named, but if the choice is one of those 3 or no one as a back up to Kane then I am definitely taking any one of those 3. Naismith would actually be my first choice of the 3 because I think that he would work best in our current system but I genuinely don't believe that as a club we would buy any of them. As it stands now I would take whoever is the Louis Saha option of this window because we must sign a striker who has played in this league and scored goals as a striker
I have banished Darren Bent from my memory bank!!So you sign someone like Bent. No thanks I'd rather stick with what we have. The wrong player can disrupt a team it's not just the case of their own game not working.

You raise a very good point about them having to fit, and whilst I did sort of say I would take almost anyone (I would draw the line at Bent), I would trust Pochettino to bring the right man and I feel that playing say Chadli out of position (and even Son to a certain extent) as a Centre forward is less favourable than buying a player like Saha (who actually fitted Ok , we have certainly had worse strikers).
Seems like a no brainer to me...really shocked that no one else wanted him
Shane Long would be decent for Spurs.
Works hard and decent finisher.
Coincidentally, he's been linked with us since yesterday.Shane Long would be decent for Spurs.

), he's completely different to Kane, uses his pace well and likes playing off the last defender, a great option to change things up if Kane isn't producing or also a decent option play alongside Harry. It's the most difficult position to fill. Look at Rebrov and Soldado for example, both good strikers and both failed at Spurs. Look at Diego Costa this season at Chelsea, not a patch on his performances last season. We could do with back up to Kane for sure, but can we find one of the right quality and attitude, it's the tallest of orders, which is why they fetch such premium fees. We could all list many 'great strikers' and their failed seasons.
Finding or producing a Kane is like winning the lottery.
