There are long standing concerns on his fitness regarding his knees. Rumours he failed a medical at Hull. I don't think he is a Pochettino type of player, good though he is. Especially if he is carrying injuries.

Now that FFP has been relaxed, Los Ladrones do Madrid don't need to offload players for the sole reason of balancing their spreadsheets that certain Premier League clubs are only too willing to pay grossly over the odds for like the willing patsies they are.Yes, the news that Real have been slapped with a transfer embargo for two seasons is great news for us, but not so great for United - not that they ever stood the remotest chance of getting either Ronaldo or Bale!
It seems that signing Alli for £5m has caused some League One clubs to think they can make much more for their prospects: Coventry have valued Maddison at £10m, while you can see Henry's value creep ever upwards every time he's described as "the new Ashley Cole" or another Premier League club are linked with him (the current list is us, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester, Man Utd and Watford)I'm glad that we appear to be looking at some of the more promising youngsters in the lower leagues, but I doubt we'll find another Dele Alli.
That looks like a very, very good deal right now.
There's a lot of money in the Premier League right now and the lower league clubs know it.It seems that signing Alli for £5m has caused some League One clubs to think they can make much more for their prospects: Coventry have valued Maddison at £10m, while you can see Henry's value creep ever upwards every time he's described as "the new Ashley Cole" or another Premier League club are linked with him (the current list is us, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester, Man Utd and Watford)
But is he actually going to get on the pitch? Surely Son and Chadli will be ahead of him in almost any scenario and possibly Onomah too.Naismith to Norwich has apparently collapsed over personal terms. Isn't that the ideal type of player for us right now? Strong, hard working, knows the league, not the most prolific scorer but certainly has an eye for goal. Wouldn't cost a fortune and wages would be no problem.

I can't see how a player who can't get into Everton's team could possibly strengthen our squad. I don't believe in 'strikers', just players. We have to aim higher than Naismith, Defoe, Crouch etc. Its better to have Chadli as back up for Kane than any of those.I wouldn't select any of those if Harry was suspended or injured, simply because none of them are particularly good in his position. Naismith has spent most of his Everton career on the bench so again - no problems there. And when called upon has played behind the striker or led the line quite capably. Would you genuinely be happy if this window closes and we haven't signed back up for Kane?
Strikers are a specal breed, goalscorers win matches, I am not saying that I particularly want any of those players named, but if the choice is one of those 3 or no one as a back up to Kane then I am definitely taking any one of those 3. Naismith would actually be my first choice of the 3 because I think that he would work best in our current system but I genuinely don't believe that as a club we would buy any of them. As it stands now I would take whoever is the Louis Saha option of this window because we must sign a striker who has played in this league and scored goals as a strikerI can't see how a player who can't get into Everton's team could possibly strengthen our squad.
