Now to look forward to the Sutton game.
Because I wear an Argyle coat out and about people have kept asking me who I thought the next Argyle manager would be. My answer has always been consistent. "I have no idea and probably won't have heard of him before anyway. The botom line being I don't really care because I will still go and I won't have a say whether I like it or not". I haven't been that bothered who we hired from the start. My estimation of Schumaker has dropped considerably though. Not such a genuine guy as we all thought then. We never learn do we.
Head Coach is the more common title now I think. It reflects the fact that transfers are not now usually the "manager's" sole decision.
I don't know how Ian Foster will turn out but this what we could have had.

I just wondered if calling the... "New Manager"...the"... Head Coach"...meant a change in responsibilities.....and that Neil Dewsnip was keeping some of the authority with himself ?
I had come across comments on pasoti....asking the question who was the brains behind Argyles' success in recent years.....was it Lowe or Schumacher or Dewsnip.
Personally I think that Schumacher was the brains behind Lowe that made Lowe look an accomplished manager.....and I think Lowe was surprised when Schumacher didn't follow him to Preston.......I think Simon Hallett was very aware of that and snapped Schumacher up before Lowe had literally left the building.
I think we're seeing Lowe under pressure now at Preston as things start going wrong without his righthand lieutenant by his side.
I do wonder if in recent times when Schumacher needed more cash to boost the inadequacies in his squad....that it became obvious that it was Dewsnip that held the reins and Schumacher then wanted out....it is said that he went for the Swansea job before the Stoke job became available.
So has there been a seperation of some of the authority that went under the title of "Manager" ?
Maybe PAFC are making it easier for Ian Foster to concentrate only on the on-field responsibilities and the teams success..... and not having to get involved with all the peripheral goings on that others can do....such as Dewsnip who has a wealth of knowledge to take such things on.

Been reading some of the write-ups regarding Ian Foster (not pasoti)......It seems that the emphasis was on a coach rather than a manager for the position....and Foster has that in abundance.
Lets hope then that he can tighten up the third worse defence in the Championship and knows where to find the right players to do it.

Away from home and yet not a glamour tie against a EPL club with a giant stadium which would guarantee loads of money.
Not someone you want to lose to as they’re in the same league. On the other hand, not an easy tie which would be likely to take you through to the next round.
Less than 3 weeks until we have the much more important league game against them.

Reckon the attendance will be similar to a "big club". If you had to draw one of them away then Leeds would be it financially. Not one to progress further with though I'd guess.
