Not a bad shout. Been sacked a few times but you never know what's going on in the boardroom to get a manager in a vulnerable position.

Did well as manager of Sunderland....having achieved a win rate of 51.3 %....but the rest of his managerial career has been mediocre....just like his playing career....generally moved on by being sacked....not by being poached.

NO NO NO..... We want somebody off the radar who is young and courageous who can grow with the club. Not sure who but would trust this Board to find them. Lee Johnson got sacked by Fleetwood because they are bottom of league one. We do not want others failures.

So Argyle have scored more goals accept for..... Leicester, Ipswich, Southampton & Leeds ....who are the top four in the league.

Argyle have conceded more goals accept for.....Rotherham & Blackburn.

I assume the selling of Gillesphey will make room for a targeted defender that they have lined up ?

It sounds as if Birmingham are going to sack Wayne Rooney after just 15 games and 83 days and 9 defeats.

I'll never understand how Rooney got into management....just because he was a successful player.

In the past we had fantastic players such as Billy Wright and Bobby Charlton trying unsuccessfully to continue their football careers by going into management.

    ROONEY SACKED.

Look no further Argyle,,,,there is your next manager.

Hopefully no worries there.....no chance of him coming to Argyle.....but Birmingham might cut our choices down....who knows.

What a crazy way to go on. What is he supposed to do in 15 games with a bunch of players he inherited from someone else. Or in fact, several people:

What's he supposed to do???? How about better than the one he replaced who had Birmingham in the play off position only to be kicked out and replaced by somebody who now has them looking at a trap door. Rooney is just a name who has not done anything in management. Serves the Birmingham Board right for being swayed by notoriety.

I think I'm running at 75-1, that's how likely they are.

Two names being linked to the Argyle job.

1.....Harry Watling.......coaching with Rangers......strong talk about him being linked to PAFC.

    2.....Neil Critchley....manager at Blackpool.

Ian Foster has all but been confirmed as Argyles' new manager.....he has links with Neil Dewsnip from their England days.

If he is confirmed who will he bring into the club to coach the players and be deputy manager.

If Ian Foster gets the job....I reckon Leighton Baines would make a very good second in command for him.
