Haven't waited for Dec 1st this year....seems wintery enough today...so here goes.

News of the day is that Ryan Lowe has been voted manager of the month for Div 1 for October........Congratulations for 4 wins and 2 draws during the month.

Central heating is on and we're lighting the fire in the evenings, so it must be winter.

Rhys Shirley is looking for votes for Young Person's Goal of the Month ( see club website). Vote now, vote often.

Sign of winter ...is when I get up in the morning and walk out into the hall and the radiator is slightly warm....the frost protection in the loft has turned itself on to counteract the loft temperature.....set at something like 38F... (ps....heating not on in the bedroom) .

Charlton have two first choices out for Saturday.

1.....Jayden Stockley...straight red last Saturday...3 game ban......Charlton challenging that ban.

2.....Akin Famewo...5th yellow...ridicules yellow say Charlton.

By New Years day we will have a more balanced idea of Argyle's prospects regarding promotion this season.

Some tough games coming......

1.....Nov 20th Sat.....Charlton... away.
2.....Nov 23rd Tues.....Wycombe W... home.
3.....Nov 27th Sat.....Wigan...home.

4.....Dec 5th Sun.....Rochdale.....away.....FA Cup R2.
5.....Dec 8th Wed.....MK Dons...away......live on SKY.
6.....Dec 11th Sat.....Sunderland...away.
7.....Dec 18th Sat.....Charlton...home.
8.....Dec 26th Sun.....Cheltenham...away.
9.....Dec 29th Wed.....Portsmouth...home.

High on the road mileage between Dec 5th and Dec 11th.

Will George Cooper (on bench last night), James Bolton and Niall Ennis be available soon to help spread the workload and avoid unneccessary injuries because of too much playing time for some players.

No we won't there will still be a load of games to go by then. We have had tough games and have so far come through them. However, I don't fear anyone in this league and we won't have any idea about prospects until half way through March. This is no time for speculation regarding possibilities.

I watched Ryan Lowe's interview after yhe Wednesday game. He was asked about the team's energy & performance level. His attitude was that he was pleased with it but it was what he expected from his players. They were looked after well, training was light and in short sessions especially when there were two games per week. Tactical rehersals were done at walking pace.

Somtimes you get the impression Lowe could be too close to the players but it seems not. We may be impressed but it it's no more than he demands.

Panutche Camara is drawing attention from possibly ten clubs...including Burnley and Barnsley who were supposed to be watching him on Tuesday during the Cup replay against Sheffield W.....we are only 6 weeks away from the January window....Camara's contract goes through till next summer.

You know what, I refuse to even consider who might go or who might stay or even who might sign until the thing happens. We do this to ourselves every season and mostly none of it comes to fruition. It will be what it is and none of us can influence any of it so why worry.

Obviously there are people who believe "not disclosed" doesn't actually apply and they know the real story. The only one on here who might know the contract details would not say even if he did. The way it should be.

Sad to hear of the death of Graham Liitle......he was club secretary for 26yrs....1965-1991.

In the early years of PASALB he came up to talk to us one evening....telling us stories of Argyle.

He told us about the Argyle lottery that he set up....and how bigger clubs phoned him up to find out how he ran it.....if anybody's veins when cut ran with green blood this is the man.

He couldn't believe he was being paid to do his passion of working for PAFC..... the club as a Plymouth lad his dad took him to watch....before WW11 started I believe if my memory serves me right.

For what it's worth.....website Salary Sport have lists of what players earn.

Top five Argyle players...they say ?

1.....James Wilson.....£4,100 per week..........Value...£225,000.....(transfermarkt)

2.....Danny Mayor.....£3,400 per week.........Value...£225,000.....(transfermarkt)

3.....George Cooper.....£3,200 per week..........Value...£90,000.....(transfermarkt)

4.....Jordan Houghton.....£3.100 per week..........Value...£90,000.....(transfermarkt)

5.....James Bolton.....£3,100 per week..........Value...£90,000.....(transfermarkt)

Can you believe any of that.....I would think there would be some very disgruntled team mates if those figures are correct.

Two of them haven't started a game yet this season...okay that ain't there fault.

The list includes down to apprentices....who are supposed to be on £140 per week.

Some of the best performers have substantially less than these top five.

I do not believe a word of any of that. Contracts are private and there is no way clubs generally would give these people details of their employees earnings. Made up crap to sell themselves.

ARTICLE ON ARGYLE..... ON FOOTBALL FOCUS... BBC 12PM.

Interesting article with Simon Hallett....talking about the running of the club and actually making a profit during these Covid times.....came over as a good advert for running a club within it's financial limitations.

A mention on pasoti of Argyle's lack of goals probably being the reason that we have lost three on the trot.....not just the fact we let in 7 goals.

During those games we had......

1.....50 shots

2.....only 8 on target.

3.....and scored only one goal.

4......of those 8 shots we made the oppositions keeper made only one decent save other than the goal.
