I completely agree with what you’re saying. I’m just not comfortable with the idea some people seem to have than Acun is a benevolent patron doing all of this from the goodness of his heart. He’s a businessman that stands to make a lot of money from the loans he’s given the club, regardless of how they’re spent, good or bad.

I'm pretty confident that he's passing on commercial interest from the loans not charging the club interest himself for profit akin to the Allams.

The only way he gets his money back or makes a profit is when the club is sold after some degree of success - which I'm sure is the eventual intention, same as almost any other club owner.

Oh absolutely. I’ve been dubious about Acun since one of his first press conferences and he said something along the lines of ‘people love me’

I hope it was something lost in translation but I question anyone who wants to own a football club.

But one thing I will credit him for is being prepared to sign young players and give people longer contracts. Under the Allams we rarely sold a player for a profit who signed after we last got relegated from the PL. They failed to speculate to accumulate and we paid the price.

Looking at the bench yesterday, a stark difference I. options compared to a couple of weeks ago with new signings and injured players due to come back it'll only get stronger. the obvious bench players to be replaced being smith and Vaughan from yesterday, I do hope that they get decent loans come the end of the month both need to be playing if they're to develop
Vaughan is very enthusiastic but he does not appear to have filled out much. He always gives his best which is to be applauded
That badly formatted post doesn't fill me with confidence.
Loosely speaking he will come to City unless someone else comes in and offers him more.

Just a genuine question.... who would you realistically rather own HCAFC.

God that’s hard to answer isn’t it.

I can’t give you a name - but I can give you an idea of what sort of owner.

Someone with a bit of money to help with cash flow - but who isn’t obsessed with pumping money in at all costs. Someone who knows that for a club like us to do well you have to build for the long term and invest in a good scouting network. I don’t mind a bit of an ego and confidence but I’d rather they have the intelligence to listen to experts in the field too,

Brentford like maybe? Not sure how much money they’ve blown up the wall though so I might be way off with that.

Anyway, I can dream.
