I assume he must know Pedro?
They both played about 20 games for Fenerabahce in the same season, so they'll certainly know each other.

Seems like a right Motley Crue to me. This is what happens when an owner treats his club like a session of Football Manager. Not sure that we have a single player in yet that is really suited to a bottom of the table relegation scrap. These players look look to have some good qualities and are potentially good signings in their own right.
But my concern is that instead of signing a few key ready-to-go players, we're signing a mishmash.
A mishmash in pre-season has time to gel, become a group, get fit etc etc.
This lot are straight into a relegation battle, one were likely we need at least 25 pts from 20 games.
I still maintain selling Allahyar last January was a mistake. He would've been perfect as a left-winger under Sellés' style of football and Walter probably would've liked him as well. He has 6 goals and 4 assists in 19 games this season in the Belgian league.
The fact we sold him for half of what we paid is a travesty.

I remeber cringing when he was asked to do any tracking back, his tackles always seemed to end up in a free kickHe

Didn’t we sign him as a forwardHe was contracted until 2026 and only 22 when we sold him. We sold him at a loss and replaced him with a loan player we had zero chance of signing permanently. Absolutely ridiculous decision-making by all involved.
Can’t agree with that, his crossing and close control was shocking. Yeah he was quick but it’d often end with nothing happening at the end of it. Millar is far better. He was contracted until 2026 and only 22 when we sold him. We sold him at a loss and replaced him with a loan player we had zero chance of signing permanently. He is miles better than any fit winger currently at the club. I'd argue he's better than Millar too.

It’s all a balancing act. I would have preferred Harvey Knibbs from Reading, but paying a fee for him might mean we couldn’t spend money on Porteous or Kyle Joseph… is Joseph right for us…who knows? Dublin and Selles seem to think so.
It then depends if we get this unarmed winger through the door and he’s a step up in quality we might all be satisfied with the overall January recruitment.
Maybe I’m not so cynical but I see the Amrabat signing similar to the signing of Pedersen in 2007. Been there and done it. Experience and a bit of guile. Will see how he gets on.
