Think we need a fast winger, ideally a left-sided one. Whittaker isn’t particularly quick and is a right-winger who can also play as a number 10.

Both sky and talk sport reporting we've bid for him. Local journalists playing it down but they must've got the story from somewhere

Even if we have I suspect we will be well below their valuation of him. Realistically he is out of our price range and as others have said, we need to invest in 5 or 6 solid players who can help us get out of the mess we are in

We were linked with him in the summer but nothing came of it. He’s currently on loan at Nantes so would need to be recalled before anything happened. Probably nothing in it.

I can’t imagine Villa will take much longer with Barry. He’s missing game time with every week they just hold onto him. They will have had plenty of time to way up the offers.
