That Kath lady on 1904 suggest we need a LB and RB. Lots of goals coming from crosses not stopped either side was what she said.

Personally I reckon Drameh will kick on and come good.

OK just because she thought we needed one didn't mean we were looking at one.

Standard tends to be between 10-20%. Genuinely could afford us another player though

You only get that % on any profit though. I don't know how Villa's buy back factors into this. I.e. we only got about 16m from them for him so do we get 10-20% of the 5m or of the 2m?

I imagine it would be off the total fee we received

Yeah but we received, say, 20m from Villa, then had to give them their sell-on (which seems to have been about 2-3m) leaving us with 17m. I can't imagine our sell-on is then based off that 17m. Seems like the sort of situation to ask Kieran Maguire about as it's so unusually quirky lol.

Wasn’t the fee we received £17m and then we gave them back their sell on? Whatever the initial fee is what would be calculated unless profit is taken as a literal term. Either way you’re talking a difference of maybe 100-200k

Per the Sky article someone linked they matched a 20m bid for him and we ended up paying them 16m. If they're now selling him for 21m and we have, say, a 10% sell on, we're either getting 10% of 1m profit or 10% of 5m profit. You're right it's about 400k difference ultimately.

I knew I wasn’t going mad and had heard a rb mentioned

She seemed to forget about Drameh. She was speculating that Geldhart might have played with Hughes at Wigan, but didn't make the link between Geldhart and Drameh at Leeds or St George's park in the England youth setup.

Honestly think RB along with GK and maybe No 8 is probably one of the only positions we don't need surgery this window.

I agree, I just don’t think Jacob will be consistently better

I don't understand Giles. This is the 3rd gaffer in a row that has picked Jacob over him for a period. I like Matty, he gives you everything but realistically he's not got a long term future at this level.

Giles is meant to be a top player at this level so to be getting replaced by a kid who's not good enough should boil his blood. He just doesn't look bothered, his body language is ****e and there's a reason he keeps getting hauled off before the hour mark when he does start.

He's been abject yet I still see City fans clamouring for him to play which I can't understand. I do wonder what games people watch sometimes.

Get him gone, the move clearly hasn't worked but he's just not somebody who should be at the club.

Disagree. Mattys development was effectively held back a season and a bit through a horrendous injury after coming back from Gateshead, and he's still got a lot more to offer.

He's learning fast too, if you look at some of his earlier performances and his most recent.

He needs experience though, whether that's here or out on loan. And there will be takers.
