Simons has improved but he’s miles off Morton from last season. Edit: miles off is a bit harsh - I do like Simons and think he has what it takes to succeed at this level
Not that weird, Philogene was a proper trier and got stuck in. 100% effort and application to go with the skill.
20% of the window gone. Players have left or are known/rumoured to be leaving. No clue of any incoming. T'was ever thus.
Last season out of players with at least 7 appearances, Seri was 7th in tackling, in midfield players third behind Omur and Morton. Best tackler if we won't have a minimum minutes on pitch bar was ................. Sinik!
I don’t think it harsh. Simons is miles off Morton. He’s very limited on the ball and actually makes as many defensive mistakes as anyone else in the team. Him and Morton are worlds apart.
He’d cost a tidy amount and not sure Birmingham would sell, they have no need to. He is quality though
Apparently they’d be open to it for the right amount as they currently have Klarer and Davies as a solid pairing at centre-half and they’re close to signing Phil Neumann from Hannover 96, who is highly-rated. Bielik could be fourth-choice at centre-half by the end of the window. Their midfield partnership Paik and Iwata are really good too so he’d be behind them in the midfield pecking order. I mentioned Bielik in summer 2023 and was hoping we’d go in for him last summer when Brum got relegated but they gave him a new deal and made him captain.
I heard this a couple of weeks back but was sure he’d only just moved to the MLS. It’s a bit of height in midfield but not sure where he would fit
