The biscuit deal was £1.5m a year so great money for a club sponsorship (double what Corendon pay) but not ground breaking when it comes to transfers.
I’m sure it was said that safiport (I think) paid the same as mcvities, also it was mcvities that ended the deal as they didn’t feel they actually needed to spend that money on sponsorship as there was no gain for them
His quality was obvious straight away, he was just so off the pace when he first came and everyone was piling on him as a donkey.
Yep, not even with hindsight. Remember saying exactly this at the time and everyone being all “oh they’re only loans, it’s cheap, nothing to lose”
Soon we’ll be able to open a chocolate factory to rival Wonka’s with the amount of short-arse midfielders we have.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...werp-star-Eliot-Matazo-car-crash-cyclist.html Obviously not at fault, hopefully he’s had the support he needs. Not something you get over quickly I doubt. Let’s get behind the Willy Wonka midfield!
An 8 year old joke? https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/5mhg1n/sky_sports_tricked_into_thinking_aberdeen_signed/
very good point and it seems quite clear to me at least in the summer, i could see simons, palmer, mehlem and omur gone we are getting some good young players in with high potential, along side some vastly experienced steel to see us through how can you complain at that
Lets just all keep everything crossed that we get through. Because if we do, the summer window will surely be less shoot from the hip. We will see a huge amount of outgoings, non renewed contracts perhaps and 'selected' signings. If we do, the nucleus of this season at last stays together and gives a great platform.
Rushworth - Loan Lincoln - Loan Puerta - Loan Gelhardt - Loan Burns - Loan Potential Left back- loan Puerta we are buying, but we’ll have to get a shift on otherwise somebody is missing out.
It was always going to be difficult this season because of the amount of loans we had ect. It was basically a complete full rebuild, Did we make some good signings, definitely, I think Pedro, Belloumi,Puerta, millar, Alzate, Hughes’s , I’ve not seen enough of Burns and Rushworth, I think in the wide areas we have had big problems and once you get a few injuries then as a squad we are not good enough. Hopefully we have enough to stay up and build on what we have in the summer. It would be good to have a manager who stays in the job for a lot longer than the previous ones and thats the reason why we have a lot of changes. Every manager will have his own opinions a bit like everyone on here, Looking at new signings at the moment then forget if we have decent players in certain positions because you need rotation, good strength in-depth and let’s not forget even good players lose form sometimes. Also competition stops you giving 90% instead of 100%. We have also made some poor transfers so our team consists of a mixture of decent, average and poor and when you get injuries to your better players then the team obviously struggles because your strength in depth isn’t good enough. Hopefully some of these new players will be a big help but in truth I’ve not really watched them, I don’t even know much about them in fact some I’ve never heard of, I never watch foreign football, Lower league football ect so I’ve got to admit I’m clueless on who we or are bringing in. I will judge for myself when I watch them.
