It would be a higher level, especially when Selles takes us up the table. I wouldn’t pay for Dessers anyway, Rangers want their 6 million back and I don’t believe he’s worth that, but… my point is, he’s not as bad as people make out.
I like the look of their IGNAME/..proper centre forward...

Watch him every week up here...he gets 20 great chances a game and scores 1....wouldn't work the same in championship.

So do I. You can’t argue with stats, he’s got 1 in 1.85. One of City’s problems is they don’t convert enough, we actually do make a few chances, and if you watch Dessers, he does actually create a few chances, maybe in the right set-up he converts them too. Who knows? As I stated previously though, I wouldn’t be paying 6mil for him regardless, which is what Rangers want back for him.

Imagine if we got our ducks in a row like other clubs have and got some players in within a couple of days of the window opening. We've known the issues with the squad for months.

We'd have been able to blood any new players that came in, today. Instead we've yet to even shed any of the deadwood we're carrying(except Mehlem) . Something is going tits up at the club, we can't blame Tan anymore either!

Acun was at the game today. Similar to how he reacted when he sacked Walter, I hope the fact he has seen that performance with his own eyes speeds up the process for bringing players in. They need help and fast.
Feel so sorry for the guy.
Yes, he's made mistakes but it's like he's utterly jinxed. He spends 1.5 million to give us a new pitch and even that goes to ****e.
His (and our) luck surely has to change.

Made the point on the matchday thread that in fact it's hard to know who to question over things like the pitch and the general state of things now Tan has gone. I have no idea who is running the club on a day to day basis. Can anyone tell me? And is that person in the Directors box every week and living in the UK?

I would genuinely like to know how the pitch is in the current state it’s in. It was in poor state in the second half of last season, was ripped up as soon as the season finished and returfed to the tune of over £1 million.

It looks worse now than it did against Ipswich when we drew 3-3. Everything this club has done in the last couple of years from managerial appointments, transfers and infrastructure points to an organisation that couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery.

"We are very close to signing a winger now in the next 24 hours, and then, hopefully, we will get another one just before the Millwall game."

Not sure if Gelhardt is classed as the winger, or if he's not going to be signed for a while despite having a medical today

Or maybe he's out of his depth and sending this club plummeting down the football league. At what point does it stop being bad luck and start being incompetence? He's hired some honking managers, awful players, not improved the shocking training facilities and now ****ed up the pitch.

He's supposedly a successful businessman; I'm failing to see it. I think he's a fraud and will do more damage than the Allams. I'd love to be proven wrong of course.

Think ',fraud: is really harsh and unfair.
Otherwise, fair question though.
He surely desperately needs someone like an Adam Pearson was for us back in the day......and a change of fortune probably too

Fair enough, I just think that the club is worse now, than it was when he took over and the only reason he had for buying us was to get on the Fenerbahçe board.

When he bought the club, we were debt free and had 2 academy graduates that would go on to be worth a lot of cash. Now we've got none of them and a squad that's pretty **** in the relegation zone. The fact that we're planning to ship out 3 of the summer signings says it all. If the Allam’s presided over this, there would be all sorts of marches and outrage, quite rightfully too.

The bloke spent millions and got us to 7th and we as a fan base worship him. At least the Allam’s got us to the prem and an FA final. I think they're both **** owners but we'll look back at Acun's ownership with even more scorn.

Thats what i mean

We had KLP and greaves
Two players whove been with us from the start

And two players who we sold for a lot of money

But we are worse in every way in the 3 years since acun took over

As a golfer last winter was the worse I’ve know for closed courses anywhere there is a clay base . I would say the turf might be fine but whatever the base is it’s holding too much water even in a dry autumn winter . Mind you Arsenals pitch whilst fairly flat was looking ropey by Prem standards . Manchester gets tons of rain compared to here but their two pitches seem ok .
Lastly every head green keeper seems to have their own theories and ideas!! Most use a lot of chemicals - and apply them on windy days LOL
