The last manager we appointed with as little experience as Still from a mid-table club in a foreign league was Pellegrino, that's my concern.

Yeah I'm not saying I'm convinced by Still and he wouldn't be anywhere near my first choice but I'd definitely prefer him to Lampard.

I don't know how good Still but there's a chance he could be good enough whereas I already believe Lampard not to be.

He's had relative success in the league we are going to play in next season at least.

Debatable imo. Don't particularly rate what he did with Derby and while he improved Coventry massively they never should have been as low as they were in the first place.

Be interesting to see how he gets on next season but hopefully it's not here.

If he comes we should perhaps adapt a song for him from this.

You could never know what it's like
Your blood like winter freezes just like ice
And there's a cold and lonely light that shines up there
You'll wind up like the wreck you hide behind that scarf you wear

And did you think this team could never win
Well look at us, we’re coming back again
We got a taste of winning in a simple way
And if you need to know why Will Still’s standing you just run away

Don't you know Will Still’s standing better than he ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
Will Still’s standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of our team without Gao on our mind

Will Still standing yeah yeah yeah
Will Still standing yeah yeah yeah

Once we never could hope to win
Now we’re starting down the road and winning again
The points we won were enough to send us down
And if our club was just a circus Russ would be a clown by now

Y' know, Will Still’s standing better than he ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
Will Still’s standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without Gao on our minds

Will Still’s standing yeah yeah yeah
Will Still’s standing yeah yeah yeah

Don't you know Will Still’s standing better than he ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
Will Still’s standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of our team without Gao on our mind

Will Still’s standing yeah yeah yeah
Will Still’s standing yeah yeah yeah
Will Still’s standing yeah yeah yeah
Will Still’s standing yeah yeah yeah

Apologies to Bernie Taupin

An experienced manager. A Cooper or even a Dyche. But no, SR are too clever for the obvious. Why do that when we can get someone cheap who may come good and be worth £££ to the club at a later day? They never ever learn
I dont think Dyche is the answer but I am amazed Cooper hasn't even been linked.

I really hope it's because he has stated he only wants a PL job, because if SR haven't even spoken to him then that is a new level of incompetent even for them.

Yeah I'm assuming he's not remotely interested which is why there's no noise.

Yeah we'll never get to know who's told them to **** off while laughing before putting the phone down but it seems that we're fishing in a very small pond with the names that have cropped up.

It's like they know the fan base will turn up regardless so they're not really fussed

Read the other day that Norwich reached out to Cooper and he had basically dismissed the offer of an interview there, so maybe he just doesn't see himself returning to work/taking a Championship job just now

The last manager we appointed with as little experience as Still from a mid-table club in a foreign league was Pellegrino, that's my concern.

Plenty of examples of managers going from mid-table European teams to do well in the Prem, let alone the Champ. Glasner was at Eintract Frankfurt before Palace, and he just won the FA cup.

It's more the lack of experience and success that i'm concerned with, it just feels like a gamble we don't need to take right now.
Anyway if it is Still, welcome aboard Will, I dearly hope that i'm wrong and you're the next Poch and not another Pellegrino.
