Back in December, reports suggested that Hull wouldn't go for Campbell because of his wages and that he wouldn't want to drop into the Championship. Well Cardiff will be able to afford his wages and look set to be in the Prem next year, so do seem more likely.

Any figures on transfer activities are pretty much bollocks. Even the transfer fees that are disclosed can be miles out as they'll be staged dependant on a whole host of factors, they don't include sell ons, they don't include add ons and a low transfer fee can hide a high wage. Some clubs will rely on high wage loanees, so have no transfer fees.
Not really, he has spent time her before, enjoyed it and his Dad has said he would like to come back! Plus, I don't think he will want to go all that way from Sunderland to Wales, he would rather make the shorter trip from Sunderland to Hull!
You may be right, but that goes for us too! But we're the only ones that have had accusations of overspending thrown at us for 18 months! I still find virtually inconceivable that we spend £4m (something reportedly as high as £5.5m) on Mills, who has never even played in the Premiership.

It most certainly does. It applies to every club. I recall when Newcastle were having one of their meltdowns and some of information came out about players image rights, goal and win bonuses etc that don't fall in to any comment on transfer fees.
I recall seeing Michael Turner being interviewed along side a Sunderland player just after Turner had left us. The other player was asked how he felt at losing his tag as Sunderlands highest transfer fee, to Mike Turner and they both gave a full answer to the question, yet plenty of other sources put the fee at a fraction of the one then quoted. Others say it included reduced fees for players coming the other way and Brentford complained because they were due a percentage sell on.
They can't all be right but there's upwards of £7million difference on that one deal alone.
Yeah, I mentioned Michael Turner's transfer in this thread. I've seen reports varying from £4m to £12m! Craziness. Just shows that none of us, including the media, really have a clue what's going inside our football clubs.
Our jigsaw was just about to be completed and then we lose Aluko and Elmo. Also our, much needed, new striker purchase looks like it's not happening.

You have a keeper who cant catch, your best player is injured and one of your key player has been recalled. I think it could be down to just how much your owners want promotion and trust Steve Bruce to deliver it. If they do they might push the boat out and back him big time in this window.
That could make all the difference
I heard on the radio that Fulham were signing a keeper hence Stockdale would therefore be moving to Hull (but it was early and I might just have imagined it all!)
If there loans you need to make sure you have got them for the season and they dont get recalled and leave you jn the ****
