Meslier makes 1.67 saves per game, Sheff U keeper 2.58, Burnley keeper 1.92

It doesn't reflect how many shots they face

I think Milky pointed out Meslier is bottom of the table for expected saves that were actual goals

looks like the BBC read my posts if no-one else. But seriously, BBC reporter has pulled the same stats from FBREF as I did... and made them more succinct, plus added a few more.

FYI Meslier was in the bottom 2 as I recall on xg against stats in his last 2 years in the PL... whilst he's merely been below average in his last 2 years in the champ. That's just shot saving stats. Its exacerbated by the Burnley and blunts keepers being up at the top.

So hopefully with all the attention Meslier is now getting the press and social media his form will improve immeasurably at the weekend. Like hell it will. All he needs now is for
Our fans to boo him every time he touches the ball and finish him off altogether

If Darlow doesn't start then Farke needs to go at the end of the season regardless of promotion.

Some fans say Darlow isn't any better, and they may be right, but we know for certain that Meslier will throw another in at some point. At least Darlow might change the mindset at the back.

If Darlow throws one in the net then we know Meslier would have done the same so we are no worse off. If Darlow shows his Welsh form from the last game then we have a confident keeper that inspires a bit more confidence in the back line.

Let's face it, Luton are gonna bombard Meslier on Saturday. It's their playstyle at the best of times. It will be horrible if Meslier plays.

Imagine you are the coach. You’ve witnessed the clangers, you’ve watched how easily his confidence drains, you’ve looked at the stats showing you have a keeper ranking in the bottom 5

Now a new week begins, you’ve read that every pundit is saying he needs to be dropped, you’ve watched social media light up, you fear the same as your post above and what every Leeds fan fears.

    Would you still select him?

For all his errors and equally as worrying, your concerns outlined in your post, Farke has to take him out the firing line, we don’t think twice dropping a defender, midfielder or attacker if they’re not performing

You can look at that another way too. If Farke believes Meslier is still the no1 choice how poorly must he rate Darlow. Does the lad even have two arms

    He did okay for Wales

I’ll be honest though, his Wiki page doesn’t look great, he seems to become the number two an awful lot, what we saw in having him and Meslier as our choices is like Biden or Trump, Rishi or Starmer

Should never have been and I’d like to know who Farke refused in January

This is a very good point. One long throw up the line, maybe win or give a throw away or free kick up there and it’s job done. Can’t ignore the fact, however, went straight under his hand/arm. Both the Sheffield and Burnley keepers save that.

It did big time. Some having to pull out. Being my own boss though means I’m gonna work the Easter bank holiday and still make the trip. Over on a Sunday home Tuesday. Once again sky a disgrace
