Not sure you can get someone 100% fit without playing them. There's always increased risk of breaking down again after any player has been a long time out, even if the original injury is medically healed.
Rosenior said it was a risk to start him after the game, so presumably if we had ample cover he wouldn’t have started him in 2 games in 4 days.

They have played the january window down a bit. But i think there could be quite a lot of incoming and outgoing.

I hope there's not too many incomings, 3/4 would be max for me now. There's plenty of we need and could do but more than happy to wait till the summer

Pretty certain that more will go out than come in - even if only on loan then reassess in summer. 7/8 out and 3/4 in but i'd say whatever goes out will probably affect what we might be able to bring in later in the window.

Definitely more will go out. But if some high earners move on, there's plenty of positions we could look to strengthen. Left back, centre half, defensive midfield, box to box and no.10 would be all positions were we could go for additions if we're planning for a top 6 push

Are you confused with Bob Hatton from that same era who was born in Hull
No I'm not confused at all. All mentions of Kevin Hector whist he was still playing referred to his birthplace as Hull. I read something about him after he'd finished playing and his birthplace had suddenly changed? But it was Hull when his pen picture appeared in match programmes.

We have one of the best left backs in the league currently. And if we were to bring in another midfielder it needs to be of a different type than we have. I don't see Rosie strengthening centre half given he's said it's not an area he's particularly looking at either.

We have two good left backs not even getting a game. I can't imagine why we'd be looking at signing anyone for either full back position.

Elder is out of contract - I think he could perhaps sign pre- contract terms for summer elsewhere very soon after this window shuts. There needs to be a solution there ideally. He isn't starting. Fleming reportedly being offered out on a development loan also, so if we're bringing in a defender I'd wager it'd be a Cyrus equivalent on the left.

Dunno if the powers that be agree but only other position (outside the 2 pacey forwards) which I'd personally look at this January is trying to get a semi-cultured ****house to play alongside the professor.

Seen in the summer that too much churn isn't necessarily good.

This summer will see more structural issues addressed I'd have thought.

We're currently playing a centre half at left back and it certainly isn't his long term role.

I can imagine both Elder and Fleming would want to go out and play ideally. I doubt we'll sign one but it definitely needs to be one of the priorities for the summer

Whether it is or it isn't his long term role, playing it and notching goals and assists isn't doing his market value or personal development any harm whatsoever. .

Are you sure about that? Personally, I think Greaves has been fabulous since switching (thanks to the temporary Dawson team for that one). It’s allowed his attacking attributes to flourish while still keeping his height and defensive abilities at the back. He looks to be really enjoying himself too. Long may it continue. And it’s had the side benefit of bringing McLoughlin back, who’s another who’s great on the ball.

I think his ideal position would be left of a back 3. That’s where he looked his best last year and started to look that level of player again since moving to left back. Higher level obviously but Arsenal have shown this season you can succeed at the top level without necessarily being a marauding ‘modern’ full back in Tomiyasu and Ben White
