... And the quality of main commentary to any casual listener shows just how good Burnsy is in comparison. Couldn't give a fook about swanny mind.

Any idea why 3 of the 4 last ifollow audio commentaries have been the away sides BBC coverage? Hudds was our own (Fletcher) when they bothered to turn the stream on...

Also, its one thing requesting a different interviewer but denying the fans local radio commentary just increases the divide between club and supporters.[/QUOTE]

Completely agree on that last point

I can't believe some are sticking up for the club here, banning Burnsy was a ****s trick, however you try and spin it.

It's up the BBC who they appoint to cover local sports, not one of the clubs they're reporting on.

Banning Baz Cooper, who's never spoken to the manager or any of the players, is even more ridiculous.

The relationship between the club and local media is disastrous, no other word to describe it.

It won't always be this way, so we'll all have to crack on in the meantime...

Burnsy isn't welcome more because of the players feelings as opposed to grants. They feel he looks to find issues even when they are doing well, some of his tweets during games, comments on the radio etc ( even when doing well last season after he had them down for a potential double relegation ) seemed to be looking for and hoping the players would fail. Add that to his almost ( they feel ) enjoyment and I told you so when things don't go well. Thats the main reason. Grant isn't a fan of him but took it as part of the job. Add it all together and the group just thought it better that his negativity wasn't allowed to be in around the camp when they felt he was just waiting and hoping for something to jump on.

Should the players and the club accept his feelings, views and style as part of the job? Probably... But burnsy has brought on his own downfall by the way he's acted rightly or wrongly.

Maybe this should just be used by the BBC to start a fresh with a new team to cover Hull and say thanks but goodbye to burnsy and swanny ? Let's face it the quality that we got from the ex pros last season on ifollow shows swanny up for just how poor he is

Pathetic. If you can’t face the media you ain’t gonna win a relegation 6 pointer when your backs are against the wall.

So, after the 0-8 the majority weren't calling for his head?
Every call tweet and text going into the show that night was McCann out. Tha was reflected in the questioning and that's the operative word - questioning. McCann had right of reply and an opportunity to explain the issues leading to the defeats. Maybe endear himself to supporters, but no, as usual when any interviewer asks him a question he doesn't like he just come across arrogant and passive aggressive.

If it was just Burns or even Humberside that happened with then you would maybe have an argument. The ban is the entire local media, so it's not just about Burns.

Give your head a shake.
How the **** did you know what the majority were thinking?

He’s Ehabs puppet. He won’t get sacked whatever. So he does and says what Ehab wants him to.

Are there some clubs in this country where the manager calls the shots and tells the owners what to do?

No, thought not, so GM is like 91 other managers then.

Bruce essentially did, that turned out ok. Peter Taylor did. Ehab knows nothing about football or how to run a club, his Dad at least left some people charge who did.

Interesting info about the players having an issue with Burnsy. I find that surprising but fair enough, I don't always agree with his tweets during games.

I do think he's an excellent commentator though, so much better than the bland, wooden stuff you get from official club feeds on iFollow. Don't think anyone really rates Swan but I think it's a big shame we don't get Burnsy commentating on games any more and he'll be missed if it becomes a permanent thing.

Banning the BBC as a whole and Baz yes is a total ****s trick. Banning burnsy as an individual not so much as he's not helped himself and made it an easier choice for the club.

I really don't think he's ever said much that's that harsh has he? This feels like one of those things that people keep repeating and thinking it's more true the more it's repeated but what is it based on?

If we were it was up to us to call for it, not for him to assume.

Fans had been calling and texting from half time. Twitter was blowing up, the majority of posts on here were McCann out and even all the podcasts agreed he surely couldn't survive after the 8-0

You may not have been calling for his head, but Its totally reasonable to state based on those interactions that the majority were.

Sorry, do you really think the majority of fans though Grant McCann should still have a job after we had a club record 8-0 defeat to fellow relegation candidates Wigan after a run which saw us go from top half to relegation in half a season?

Come on.

There was a very good case to sack GM after relegation. (perhaps the spineless players should shoulder some blame for that 8-0?)

But the Allams didn't- and it paid off as we went straight back up.

Opinions of disgruntled fans should not affect hard decisions by football clubs.

No but they can be asked about it.
