I dont understand these people hoping Man Utd put the kids out. Does nobody remember how this turned out in our first Premier League season in EXACTLY the same circumstances? We made Darron ****ing Gibson look like a worldy that day..... We'd be much better having tired first teamers looking to avoid their holiday on the beach injured than kids with a point to prove.

True they started kids against us last season and didn't James Wilson get a couple. Hope he starts Falcao.

You should hope they stick to long ball, it will make it a much more level playing field like it has for most teams this season. LVG is your key to winning this game. His decission making is suspect to say the least.

Hope so. If we can go into that last game with a chance to overtake Newcastle I would be buzzing, but hey they will probably beat Qpr and west ham anyway.

West ham is the worry for me. QPR, I've got a feeling they'll get points from their last two games. Lot of players looking to put themselves in the shop window, there's sure to be scouts at their games. Relegated teams often pick up form for this reason. If we stay up I'd like Fer.

Sat 16/05/15. Spurs v Hull City: Hull City performances can't get any worse. Spurs have played more games than any other PL side and looked a tired team in their 3-0 defeat to Stoke. Their defence is one of the worst in the league. Despite their poor form we should play Huddlestone and Livermore who both have a point to prove. If the players turn up with the right attitude expect at least a draw next Saturday.

Sat 16/05/15.Sunderland v Leicester: Sunderland have had their fair share of good fortune lately and with Leicester on the run they're having Sunderland will do well to get a point next week. In theory, that's where their points stop and they know it. Their remaining away games at Arsenal and Chelsea should prove fruitless with Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourhino helping their mate Steve Bruce by dishing out defeats.

Sun 24/05/15. Hull City v Manchester United: Ryan Giggs wants to give the kids a run out for Man United in their last game at the KC. That's no guarantee of picking up a point or more but it has to give the team a little hope.

Job done.

I like your optimism - but I'll take your bet!

I'll join you Carmine, except I will be totally naked, stood on one leg whistling "Falling in Love with You" with a Didgeridoo stuck up my @rse on which I will f@rt "Ferry cross the Humber" made famous by Pace and the Gerry makers.

You do realise that Quill will have saved both yours and Carmine's posts, and will make you look a proper pair of ****s if don't deliver on your promises should we stay up, yeah?

I think it would be a devilish adventure for Carmine, but for Tigeroo, I think it will be just another day at the office. :emoticon-0103-cool:

You're right we've only lost 37% of our games, I forgot we'd only played 35.

We've only lost 13 league games this season.

1st Chelsea Lost 2
2nd Arsenal Lost 6
3rd Man City Lost 7
4th Man U lost 8
5th Liverpool Lost 10
Joint 6th Spurs, Swansea Lost 12
Joint 7th(or joint 8th if you're a pedantic and intent on splitting hairs despite being on the verge of relegation). Sunderland, Soton, West Ham Lost 13.
Somewhere out of sight Hull lost 18 and Leicester of 19

Nice try splitting hairs, my point is still very much in tact. We're tough to beat, harder to beat than any other team in the bottom half. Fact. <ok>

How'd Southampton go against Leicester?

Just curious as to why you don't give Leicester much chance against you when they're sweeping almost every side aside with ease.

Where have I done that?

There's no logic, my point is that we're difficult to beat and draws are common which is factually true, the op said we'd do well to get a point out of the game, it's his logic which was off, I was stating fact. 13 defeats and 15 draws tells me a draw would be more likely yet the op thinks we'd 'do well' to get a point. I was just debating the opposite. Defeats are few and draws are mundane and monotonous for us.

I've only promoted my own team, and never claimed at any point that Leicester don't have much of a chance against us.

In fact from the Leicester board

It's going to be a tough game, I was just giving my ideal scenario as a Sunderland fan wanting you to stay up.
I think we can beat you but odds are you've very little chance of taking all 3 points. A draw is the most likely outcome.
I'm expecting a cracking match. Tough to call given the circumstances. I'm hoping your final game will lead you to being more relaxed as well as the illusion of us being easy to beat. But I fear you'll have one thing on your mind and that's finish the job and achieve safety. Will be close entertaining game I think.

So did you get the wrong end of the stick or are you just trying to twist my words? The latter I'm thinking given I didn't say what you claimed anywhere<doh>. When you look for something to support your negative views on a person, you tend find it even when it's not really there. In other words, stop having an adverse reaction to the big bad visitor. Word twisting doesn't suit. You're not very good at it. I don't think it will be an easy game in any way shape or form but I do think we can nick a win and Leicester fans will rightly be feeling the same way. <ok>

Hardly a surprise but Sam Allardyce will be leaving West Ham this summer.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...manager-Sam-Allardyce-to-quit-Upton-Park.html

24/05/15, Newcastle v West Ham: How does a departing manager motivate players when they know he only has two games left? To be hoped his successor is there to spur them on or it could be a 'deck chairs out' job.

I still think Big Sam will help his close friend SB out by doing his utmost to beat Newcastle. Remember, it wasn't that long ago Sam left Newcastle 'by mutual agreement' after a bad run of form, another incentive to win.

Not forgetting how some of the Newcastle fans abused the man too. All incentive I hadn't considered indeed fella. Good post <ok>

If you draw with Leicester or lose makes zero difference to us seeing as our GD is superior to yours. You need to beat Leicester to have any chance of staying up if we beat Spurs.

Well thanks for the news flash, I can assure you I've gone through all the various possibilities and I'm up to date with all the out comes. I don't need your guidance. <ok>

Man Utd haven't played long ball this season, didn't you see all those sheets of paper?
